Before I purchase stock in any speculative investment, like Local.com.
Ask yourself this: If I had $XX million dollars, would I be interested in acquiring the entire company?
With a market cap of $70-80 million, would you be interested in buying out Local.com? Knowing that it projects $85 million in revenue for 2011, is getting into the group buying business, has significant cash on hand and a nice line of credit to draw on as well.
The answer for me, was yes. I would pay $80 million for this business if I had that kinda cash. In fact, I'd probably pay up to $150 million. Which is about double where that market values it.
So, in my mind, I can see where this company is easily worth $8-9-10 a share. And that's how long I plan on holding onto it.
I know the short-selling paid spammers will respond that they wouldn't pay 10 cents for the business, etc. But ignoring that noise, it's a smart way to invest and sleep at night. |
