H.H. Cohen was retained to evaluate all of the gold bearing gravels in 1,703.5m (1,863 yards) of detail drilled Lightning Creek, including surface moraine bench gravels, interglacial gravels and deep lead Tertiary pre-glacial gravels. The feasibility study completed By H.H. Cohen was based on a large specially designed production dredge to reach to a depth of 50m (165').
H.H. Cohen utilized the information taken from the Tremaine Report which summarizes all of the drill data for Drill Sections A, (4 holes), Section I, (12 holes), Section CC, (2 holes), Section C, (11 holes), Section D, (7 holes), Section H, (3 holes), and Section E, (6 holes)
Cohen evaluated the total volume of gravel in 1,703.5m (1,863 yards) of the Lightning Creek Channel to be 7,259,763 m3 (9,495,447 yd3 ). The total payable gravels to be 2,077,049 m3 (2,716,688 yd3 ), averaging $30.71 USD/m3 ($40.17 USD/yd3). Gold was calculated at $16.08 USD per gram ($500 USD per Troy ounce). |
