TORONTO, September 11, 2015 — Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX)(TSX:ABX) (Barrick or the "company") has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the eighth consecutive year; the company was also included in the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index for the ninth year in a row.

The Technical Report supports the disclosure contained in Barrick's news release of August 5, 2015, announcing the completion of a Preliminary Economic Assessment on the Refractory Material Mine Life Extension Project at Lagunas Norte.

Was kommt kommende Woche auf uns zu?

1) China-Wirtschaftsdaten (Einzelhandelsumsätze u. Industrieproduktion f. August),
Eurozone (Montag), USA (Dienstag) Industrieproduktion

2) Shemitah endet am So, 13.9.2015 (die letzten beiden Sabbatjahre waren 2001 und 2008; die Ereignisse von damals sind bekannt); dieses Mal ist es das 7 mal 7. Jahr!

3) Do, 17.9.2015 abends 20 Uhr: FED-Zinsentscheid

4) Fr, 18.9.2015: Grosser Hexensabbat

Wie schon in #8780 erwähnt, ist das Short interest zuletzt enorm gestiegen und hat innerhalb des letzten Jahres somit einen (vorläufigen) Höchststand erreicht.
Was kann man daraus folgern?
Ein Teil des smart money hat sich aus diesem Titel zurückgezogen, da es tiefere Kurse befürchtet.
Es kann aber – nach einer massiven Korrektur - auch ein Kontraindikator sein, bei dem nach einer überraschenden – wenn auch nur kleinen positiven – Meldung eine Short-Covering-Rally erfolgen könnte.

Short interest plus grosser Hexensabbat lassen vermuten, dass das smart money versuchen wird, den Kurs weiter nach unten zu drücken.

FED-Zinsentscheid wird bei Zinswende wohl nur kurzfristig den Goldpreis absacken lassen.

Schwache Wirtschaftsdaten aus China, Eurozone und USA werden den Aktienmarkt belasten.

Shemitah: ???

In Summe birgt die kommende Woche reichlich Treibstoff für eine Bewegung des Kurses; ob der Treibstoff langsam oder explosionsartig verbrennen wird und vor allem in welche Richtung der Schub erfolgen wird, wer weiss das schon?

Es sei denn, Barrick geht pleite

Ich hab gestern bei 5,99 USD nochmals aufgestockt und ABX ist somit meine größte Depotposition. Sollte es noch weiter runter gehen, werde ich sukzessive weiter aufstocken.

Die Zukunft wird's zeigen...  

Hatte diesen Chart hier vor ein paar Wochen schonmal gepostet. Jetzt ist es fast "geschafft". Wohl noch ein Downpeak bis max.5,20 und dann sollte die Wende kommen

Barrick Gold: Don't Lose Hope

ABX shares have dropped once again in September after doing well last month as gold prices have dropped of late on expectations of a Fed rate hike.

However, it is believed that the Fed won’t hike rates due to macroeconomic uncertainty in the equity markets, which will act as a tailwind for gold prices and ABX.

ABX will also benefit from improving demand-supply circumstances in the gold industry, as supply is expected to go down in the coming years, while demand could rise.

ABX has been able to improve its cash flow performance of late due to aggressive cost reductions and asset optimization moves such as minimizing waste removal.

ABX’s focus on five core mines with an AISC of $700-$750/ounce that will drive 60% of its production will help the company improve its production profile.

Im Zuge des jüngsten Goldpreis-Rückgangs haben die kommerziellen Händler („Commercials“) an der US-Warenterminbörse COMEX ihre Netto-Short-Position gegenüber Vorwoche um 19 Prozent auf 55.979 (Futures-)Kontrakte verringert. Deren Long-Postionen stiegen um 6.692 Kontrakte, die Short-Positionen verringerten sich um 6.417 Kontrakte,

Immer noch kein Ende des Bärenmarktes

...

Ich hatte in den letzten Monaten immer wieder den finalen Ausverkauf am Goldmarkt heraufbeschworen. Wirklich eingetreten ist er bis jetzt jedoch noch nicht. Vielmehr drücken die Bären den Goldpreis seit Monaten Schritt für Schritt weiter nach unten. Auf die immer wieder auftauchenden lethargischen Phasen folgte jedes Mal der nächste Kursrutsch. Alle Erholungen blieben bisher Makulatur. Der Bärenmarkt ist daher bis auf weiteres intakt..

Jetzt zu verkaufen wo alles Negativ
gemacht wird, ist eigentlich der beste Zeitpunkt um auf zu stocken.
Ich bin mir sicher Bar. kommt wieder hoch sehr hoch.

Stimme zu, aber unter der Voraussetzung, dass der Goldpreis steigt, weil sonst wird vermutlich auch Barrick fallen.  

oder Sal. Oppenheim raten von Gold ab. Peter E. Huber und George Soros kaufen dagegen Goldminenaktien. Wer Huber und Soros folgen will, kann zum iShares Gold Producers ETF greifen.

Die Krisen werden immer schlimmer,
ich gehe da von aus das Griechenland eine Pat. Situation hat und ist nicht mehr zu Regieren, und das Retungspaket3 Platzt

Wollte normal bei 7,50 Euro einsteigen, doch mittlerweile sind wir weit drunter
Gold ist doch immer eine sichere Anlageform??
