Vielleicht lesen sie ja nicht mit, haben aber meine E-Mail von gestern zum Anlass genommen, doch noch was zu schreiben:
Dear Steinhoff Management,
with astonishment I have read the news, that the MattressFirm IPO was cancelled. This IPO was announced for a long time, and there have been many occasions to execute on it, but now Steinhoff as a main owner together with MattressFirm has decided to withdraw the IPO? Please explain!
- Why was the IPO withdrawn?
- Do you expect that a postponement yields to a better financial option, and if yes which?
- Don't you believe, that the IPO could have helped to execute on Step 3 with a much better outcome, than the currently proposed squeeze-out of the shareholders?
- Can you please provide assumptions and calculations, that prove the preference not going IPO?
- Was the decision made with respect, that the resulting cash and the clear asset evaluation of the remaining MattressFirm shares would have helped the debt restructuring process?
I expect a public statement on the questions above within the next 5 business days. Otherwise I see a clear misconduct of the Steinhoff management duties, to act in the interest of the shareholders, at least in the way of communication. Additionally it shall be a matter of a forensic investigation, whether the Steinhoff management has knowingly misconducted the duty to act in the best interest of the company.
kind regards
Leider sind sie in der eqs nicht auf meine Fragen eingegangen, die wir uns aber durchaus noch beantworten lassen sollten. Mit der Platitüde:
In light of the ongoing volatility in the IPO market and following careful consideration with external advisors, Mattress Firm elected to withdraw its registration statement on Form S-1 on January 9, 2023.
sollten sie nicht einfach so davon kommen.
