Plan 8 Infinite Energy (Pty) Ltd (Plan 8) proposes to construct a wind energy facility, consisting of eight wind turbine generators (turbines), to generate approximately 19.2 Megawatts (MW) on Remainder Oliphant's River Settlement Farm no. 629, near Koekenaap in the Western Cape (see Figure 1).
Each turbine is rated at between 2.4 MW and 2.5 MW, however each turbine‟s output would be capped therefore the proposed wind energy facility would consist of eight turbines, producing a total of 19.2 MW.

...verzichtet einfach auf die Erwähnung von Nordex bei einem weiteren Projekt January 2012 - Plan8 (Pty) Ltd, a renewable energy company, plans to develop a wind powered electricity generation facility (known as a „wind farm‟) approximately 30km outside of Grahamstown along the N2 in an easterly direction towards East London, in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The proposed site is on the farms Gilead, Tower Hill and Peynes Kraal, situated approximately 30km east of Grahamstown. The proposed wind farm is planned to comprise up to a maximum of 27 turbines, each with a nominal power output ranging between 2 and 3 MW (megawatts). The total potential generating capacity of the wind farm will be approximately 67.5 MW, and will feed power into the national electricity grid.

Emergent Energy has installed and commissioned numerous meteorological towers, including a recently erected 80m NRG tower near Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. The tower, erected for the French (.))wind turbine manufacturer and developer Nordex, gathers detailed wind, temperature and pressure data over an extended period, allowing detailed mapping of the local wind resource, and enabling high performance design of a local wind farm.
