Cordoba Minerals profitiert weiter von der Zusammenarbeit mit Mininglegende Robert Friedland.Die von Friedland kontrollierte Gesellschaft HPX Technologieswird nun im Rahmen der Joint-Venture Vereinbarung mit einem Phase-1 Explorationsprogramm starten. Hierbei kann HPX einen 25%-Anteil durch die Aufwendung von 6 Mio. US-Dollar am San Matias-Projekt in Kolumbien erwerben. HPX kann insgesamt bis zu 65% am Projekt erwerben, sofern man bereit ist die Kosten bis zur Veröffentlichung einer finalen Machbarkeitsstudie zu tragen.

During the third quarter $CDB Cordoba Minerals targeting issuing an initial NI 43-101 resource to incorporate the drilling success Alacran. A non-compliant historical resource of 37 million tonnes of 0.62% copper and 0.40 g/t gold was completed previously for Alacran.

CORDOBA MINERALS ANNOUNCES EXPANDED AND ACCELERATED DRILLING PROGRAM AT THE SAN MATIAS COPPER-GOLD PROJECT IN COLOMBIA

Cordoba Minerals Corp. and its joint venture partner, High Power Exploration Inc. (HPX), a private mineral exploration company indirectly controlled by mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland's Ivanhoe Industries LLC, are expanding and accelerating the current drill campaign on the San Matias copper-gold project in Colombia.

Cordoba is mobilizing three additional drill rigs to San Matias, increasing the total drills at site to four. The drills are expected to arrive later this month to support an additional 8,000-metre drilling program at the Alacran Copper-Gold Deposit, significantly expanding the previously announced drilling program to 10,000 metres. This program is designed to test the potential of the newly discovered eastern extension of the Alacran deposit, where 150 metres of 0.73% copper and 0.49 g/t gold was intersected in ACD009 and results from soil sampling have identified a 1.3-kilometre by 800-metre gold and copper soil anomaly (See Figure 1 and Figure 2). Recently completed drill holes ACD013 and ACD014 intersected visible sulphide mineralization (assays pending), increasing the lateral width of the Alacran deposit and demonstrating the potential of the eastern extension.

Cordoba also announced that the previously announced 10,000-metre drilling program at the Montiel porphyry target, which is approximately three kilometres north east of the Alacran deposit, has now commenced. This program is designed to test targets identified from the initial 7.5 square kilometre Typhoon IP survey covering Montiel, where previous drilling intersected 101.1 metres of 1.0% copper and 0.65 g/t gold in hole SMDDH004.

Mario Stifano, President and CEO of Cordoba, commented: "We are aggressively increasing our drilling at Alacran from 2,100 to 10,000 metres to test the magnitude of the eastern extension. To date, mineralization has been identified over 1.3 kilometres of strike and up to 300 metres in lateral width, and remains open in all directions. As a result of the expanded drilling at Alacran, the total budgeted drilling program at San Matias has increased materially from 12,000 to 20,000 metres."

 

Keine News zu den Bohrergebnissen.. hmmm.... waere mir etwas lieber gewesen.. Die Ausweitung des Bohrprogramms ist ungewoenlich gross und kann es nichtbeinschätzen wie dies zu bewerten ist  

Es fehlen noch die Bohrergebnissen ACD 010 bis ACD014.

Die Bohrergebnisse sollten bald kommen...ich rechne bald mit 1,50 CAD$

Notwendiges Gerät konnte nicht zum Projekt gefahren werden. CEO Mario Stifano rechnet nun erst in den nächsten 2-3 Wochen mit weiteren Bohrergebnissen vom Alacran-Projekt. Starinvestor und Mininglegende Robert Friedland sprach in seiner Rede vor rund 350 interessierten Investoren auch von Cordoba – die Aktie schloss daraufhin 11,9% im Plus."

 

Die Nachfrage und auch Aktie-Volumen steigt deutlich nach oben. Aufgrund der Handelsspanne in Deutschland sollte man besser in Kanada kaufen.

CORDOBA MINERALS AND HPX DISCOVER SIGNIFICANT LATERAL EXTENSIONS OF COPPER-GOLD MINERALIZATION AT THE ALACRAN DEPOSIT IN COLOMBIA

Continuing drilling by Cordoba Minerals Corp. and its joint venture partner, High Power Exploration Inc., a private mineral exploration company indirectly controlled by mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland's Ivanhoe Industries LLC, at the Alacran copper-gold deposit has discovered significant new lateral extensions to known copper-gold mineralization, indicating significant potential for a large-tonnage open-pit copper-gold resource.

Drilling in the northern area of the Alacran deposit, within the company's San Matias copper-gold project in Colombia, has outlined significant widths of high-grade copper-gold mineralization starting near surface. Mineralization now extends over 250 metres laterally and remains open in all directions, highlighting the significant potential for further resource expansion over the 1.3 kilometres of strike drilled to date. Two active drill fences over 500 metres and 700 metres to the south of the initial lateral step-out drilling, and east of previous diamond drilling where ASA-037 intersected 42 metres of 2.83 grams per tonne gold and 0.43 per cent copper, have identified large zones of visible chalcopyrite-pyrite-magnetite mineralization, indicating the potential for similar lateral extensions including prospective gold-rich zones, significantly adding to the overall size of the copper-gold mineralized system.

Gerardo Del Real: This Gerardo Del Real with Resource Stock Digest. Joining me today is president and CEO of Cordoba Minerals (TSX-V: CDB), Mario Stifano. Mario was instrumental in acquiring and consolidating the flagship San Matias Copper Gold Project in Colombia. Maria has over 15 years of mining experience and has raised over $700,000,000 to explore and build gold and base metal mines.

Mario, thank you so much for joining me today.

Mario Stifano: Thanks, Gerardo, thanks for inviting me.

Gerardo Del Real: Absolutely. I provided a brief overview there, but for those that aren't familiar with you and the Cordoba Mineral story, can you share a little background about how you got involved with the company?

Mario Stifano: Thanks. This is a fairly new project. We went public in 2014. As they say, it takes a lot of work to create great projects. In 2012, we found an outcrop in our area on the northern part of Colombia. It was quite obvious to us that this area was highly prospective for copper-gold. The area was fragmented with two other companies operating the area. My focus in 2012 was to try and consolidate this ground and create a district for copper-gold exploration. Took me almost two years to get this deal done and consolidated.

In 2014, we were able to consolidate the whole ground and take Cordoba public, or the new Cordoba public. In addition to that, there was always one little piece of ground that we didn't own, that we always wanted, but we wanted to make sure that no one else was able to step in. When the opportunity came to acquire this deposit, which we call Alacran, which is "the donut hole," again, it was a little bit of a headache to try and get this particular asset because the two owners and the prior JV partner were feuding with threats of lawsuit.

We stepped in to mediate and negotiate a deal in October of 2015. We acquired the Alacran deposit and we're currently drilling the Alacran deposit, as well as the other prospective areas on our ground.

Gerardo Del Real: Excellent. You have a very successful joint venture partner in HPX, which is a company that's indirectly controlled by a mining entrepreneur that everyone's familiar with, Robert Friedland. That allows HPX to earn up to 65% in the project by funding the project and completing a feasibility study. The San Matias copper gold-project is a district scale project, which obviously has the potential for multiple discoveries. Can you share with us how you are able to catch the attention of one of the most successful mining entrepreneurs ever?

Mario Stifano: Look, I'm Italian and I believe in fate. I think it was fate that brought me to Robert Friedland. A little bit of background on how Robert and I met. I was at the BMO conference, and at the end of the day when you finish your one on one meetings, you walk to the elevator to go up to your room and prepare for the evening events. Always at the end of the day, it's jammed packed, these elevators, everyone's rushing to get up to their room. This particular day, I ended up going on a different floor, I think I was looking for some food. If I decided to go on the regular route, I'm sure I would've missed Robert.
