RK, thank you for your posts with the facts. There are many of us who are long in HIV, have been so for years and who have done our due diligence, following the company for an extended period of time.
The bashers with whom you are engaged on this board have been bashing this stock for over three years. Clearly, any person who claims not to have any financial interest in the company has to have a motive to post negatively day in and day out.
It is also clear they are posting under different screen names, indicative by the amount of time between their posts.
Calypte has had a hard battle upward in the HIV testing research and development field.
Currently, there is only one major competitor with an oral HIV test and they have high production costs as they produce their product domestically. Calypte will be a major competitor to them on the international market due to their strategic goals and the ability to produce the product at one half to to two thirds less than the cost of the competitor.
This will give Calypte the edge in the international market as the domestic market is currently clogged with HIV tests and HIV testing. Where HIV testing "is at" is in the foreign markets.
Right now, the competition is obviously threatened as they recently announced they are going to seek the international markets and are currently marketing in the same markets as Calypte.
So, now you may realize the motive for the bashers posting false information about the stock and their attempts to manipulate the stock price.
Fortunately, Calypte is managed by an international expert who sits on the Board of Directors of one of the world's largest steel companies. The key financier is an extremely successful group of individuals who have been involved with the world's largest oil companies and has had successful ventures in international telecommunications, international sugar refining, oil terminal ventures, international real estate and internet security ventures. They have experience in the regions where the competition is seeking to enter and they have the business savvy to make the company a success. You can bet they have done their due diligence, as well.
Naturally, the competition would be nervous, extremely nervous.
So, you have to ask yourself why the bashers have been here for so long, posting day in and day out, old outdated historical information to dissuade investors.
The answer is obvious...it has to be the competition or the several posters who have been conducting the bashing have some serious personality disorder to make such a serious long term investment in time. Nobody shorts a stock for over three years, especially when the movement has been level for extended periods of time.
Again, thanks for your research and the information you have been putting out to others.
In my opinion, Calypte has been slow but the successes the past six months have been monumental and we are on the edge of something very, very big.
