Die Tatsache, dass hier auch jemand von FTVentures teilnahm, einem der Wagniskapitalgeber neben Internet Capital, ist das, was meine Überlegungen in Sachen IPO besonders beflügelt.

Jim Hale, Founding Partner, FTVentures
Jim has over 20 years of commercial banking and investment banking experience. Before founding FTVentures, Jim founded and managed the corporate finance practice as a partner at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. While at Montgomery (1982-1998), Jim was responsible for more than 200 mergers, public offerings, joint ventures, debt, and private placement investments for companies in the financial services industry. He also managed the Montgomery Financial Fund when he first joined the company. The Fund operated for five years and was an institutional equity fund dedicated to investing in public companies, primarily banks that were identified as winners in the era of financial institution deregulation.
Jim received a BS from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard University and is a CPA.
Charlie Cortese, former Managing Director (IT), Lehman Brothers
Recently retired from Lehman Brothers, Charlie started as head of their Derivatives Technology group, then spent 7 years in London running Lehman's European and Asia Technology groups. Since returning from the UK, Charlie has managed the Investment Banking and Corporate Technology groups. He is now focused on Lehman's Offshore Outsourcing for all Technology groups within Lehman. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Charlie spent almost 9 years with Salomon Brothers and 4 years with Bankers Trust. He has an MA in Experimental Psychology from the City University of New York.
Susan Kirchhoff, Founding Partner
Prior to forming ITK Solutions in October of 1999, Susan worked for nearly 20 years at JP Morgan & Co. She performed a variety of senior technology and programme management roles during her career at Morgan, and had assignments in New York, Delaware, and London. Susan has experience managing large technology teams supporting a variety of business and product areas, including derivatives, securities, cash management, securities lending, credit and commercial lending, and financial control. Susan was also the global programme manager for JP Morgan's EMU programme, where she had responsibility for all aspects of the support functions' readiness. This included the operations, financial, human resources and technology units across all of JPM's business lines, globally. Since forming the consulting company, Susan has worked in senior IT consulting roles for a number of global Investment Banks. Her focus areas have been in large programme start-up, business process and technology architecture, and in coaching and mentoring senior IT staff.
Keynote Speaker: Frances Karamouzis, Research Partner, Gartner
Frances Karamouzis is a research director in Gartner Research & Advisory Services. Ms. Karamouzis focuses on the IT Services & Outsourcing market and leads the Global Sourcing research agenda.
Ms. Karamouzis has approximately 13 years of experience in strategy, business process and information technology management across a wide range of service delivery areas and industries. Prior to joining Gartner, she spent 11 years with a Big Five consulting firm, where she was involved in several service delivery areas including strategy, process design, systems integration, change management and knowledge management. In addition, Ms. Karamouzis was a practice director for the strategy consulting practice of a smaller niche consulting firm.
I love the process of bringing "applied" research to the marketplace, specifically taking research analysis and practically applying it to executable enterprise strategies.
