Diant Ramaj, who moved to Borussia Dortmund in the winter and was subsequently loaned to Copenhagen, became a title hero in Denmark. He won the championship and cup there. He is celebrated by the fans and the management would love to keep the player.
Ramaj has kept 6 clean sheets in his last 8 games and has also impressed as a playmaking keeper.
Copenhagen chief-scout Andreas Hintze:
"If Diant stays with us for another six months, he can choose any shirt number he wants - then he can also have the 10."
Ramaj has signed with Dortmund until 2029. When BVB signed him for five million euros from Ajax Amsterdam in the winter, the question arose - also internally - as to when and where he should even play. Gregor Kobel has been Borussia's undisputed number one since 2021.
The Swiss recently let the club know that he does not want to leave in the summer either, so after a six-month loan to Copenhagen, it is clear that there is no room for Ramaj.
Diant Ramaj:
"I really enjoyed the season in Copenhagen, it's fantastic what we've achieved. And one thing is certain for me: I have to continue to be on the pitch, get minutes, match practice. That's why it's clear to me: I'm not going to sit on the bench in Dortmund!"
"It's clear to me that I'm not coming to Dortmund to sit at the back. I have to play. [...] I've said that I'm the best goalkeeper of the younger generation. And I think I've proved that over the past few months!"
That's why Borussia Dortmund and Ramaj are certain: there has to be another loan. Ramaj wants to develop in one of Europe's top five leagues and would like to play in a european competition.
