Kia Models Delight U.S. Customers The Kia Opirus and Cerato have been included among the “most delightful" vehicles in the U.S. market last year. The U.S.-based research firm Strategic Vision released its 2005 Customer Delight Index on Friday, showing that Kia Motors' Opirus, known as the Amanti in North America, ranked first in the large car class. The Opirus also made it on the consumer delight list in 2004. The Cerato, known as the Spectra in North America, ranked first along with Volkswagen's Jetta in the compact car class. The assessment is based on a survey of over 90,000 consumers who purchased new cars for a period of one year from September 2004.
Kia Motors exported 275,851 cars including 56,088 Ceratos and 18,668 Opiruses to the U.S. last year. The firm aims to sell 324,000 units this year, up 17 percent, by adding new models Grand Carnival or Sedona and Lotze or Optima.
