Exyte U.S., Inc. appreciatesyour interest in Cree’s Mohawk Valley Fab (MVF) Project. Located at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Marcy, New York, the Marcy Nanocenter is a premier 450-acre greenfield site developed for semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Cree, Inc. has committed to construct and equip a new highly-automated world's-first, 200mm silicon carbide wafer fabrication facility at the Marcy Nanocenter, known as the Mohawk ValleyFab. In total, the new facilities in Marcy are expected to cover approximately 500,000 square feet, up to 135,000 square feet of cleanroom space and other support facilities. This campus (appx. 35 acres) will consist of a 4 level wafer fabrication (FAB) facility (Appr. 458,000 sqft), 2 level Central Utility Building (CUB) (Appr. 98,000 sqft), Warehousing areas, and 4 level Administration Building (Appr. 85,000 Sqft). This project will be completed in one phase with the potential for future expansion. Ready for productionin 2022, the new facility will substantially increase the company's silicon carbide wafer fabrication capacity. Construction will commence in February 2020 with Earthwork and foundations forecasting a First Of A Kind (FOAK) tool move-in for April, 2021.
