MILAN, Dec 4 (Reuters) -Italian TV group MFE-MediaForEurope has asked UniCredit CRDI.MI to arrange a loan worth 3.4 billion euros ($3.6 billion) with a group of banks to finance a bid for German rival ProSiebensat1 in 2025, Il Messaggero daily reported. MFE has asked UniCredit to provide a commitment as early as Dec. 5 though it expects to use the financing only in 2025, the paper said. The other banks potentially involved in the transaction are Banco BPM, BPER Banca, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo, the paper said, adding they would each provide some 567 million euros.
