Nordex: Excellence in the American Market
Nordex USA, Inc. is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The company’s first US production facility in Jonesboro, Arkansas opened in October 2010, for the assembly of nacelles, creating more than 700 jobs in the US by the end of 2014. The company is now positioned to be one of the leading domestic producers of some of the most powerful and reliable wind turbines in the American market.
This plant will supply Gamma Generation utility scale turbines to wind farms across North America. The Gamma Generation combines the latest research and development with technical know-how and experience from a decade of operation to meet today’s market requirements. Using a common technical platform, there are machine types for every wind class: the N100/2500 generates high yields even where wind speeds are low, the N90/2500 for medium-wind locations and the strong-wind turbine N80/2500. Modular design allows for the addition of type-specific components and customer options.
Top priorities for all Nordex products are quality and dependability. The Gamma generation sets new standards in availability, ease of service and quality as well as delivery and installation times. And it satisfies the most demanding international requirements for grid compliance and interconnection.
Further recent developments have increased yields, raised the power classes, and led to the introduction of a new turbine. The N117 has a 117 meter rotor diameter and 2.4 MW capacity and is particularly well-suited to low wind sites. It will be on the market in late 2012.
Nordex wind turbines are widely recognized for experience, professional performance and quality. The company and its employees share these same characteristics. And the same passions – building new energy sources for the future, bringing cost predictability to a volatile electricity market and using the best technology available to achieve these goals.
