BP makes third gas discovery in North Damietta Concession, East Nile Delta, Egypt
Date: 27 March 2017

CAIRO -- BP announced today another gas discovery in the North Damietta Offshore Concession in the East Nile Delta, Egypt. The Qattameya Shallow-1 exploration well was drilled to a total depth of 1,961 metres in water depth of approximately 108 metres using the El Qaher II jack-up rig. The wireline logs, pressure data and fluid samples confirmed the presence of 37 metres of net gas pay in high quality Pliocene sandstones. Options to tie the discovery back to nearby infrastructure are being studied.

Bob Dudley, BP Group Chief Executive, commented: “Qattameya marks our third discovery in the block where we are already developing the Atoll field and appraising the Salamat discovery. This latest discovery confirms our belief that the Nile Delta is a world-class basin.”

Commenting on the discovery, Hesham Mekawi, BP North Africa Regional President, said: “We are delighted to sustain our success in these shallow Pliocene targets. We believe development of Qattameya could help unlock the resources in other nearby discoveries with similar shallow low pressure characteristics. This is part of our long-standing commitment to Egypt and to unlocking Egypt’s energy potential.”

Qattameya Shallow-1 well is located 60 kilometres north of Damietta city, 30 kilometres south west of Salamat and only 35 kilometres to the west of Ha’py offshore facilities. BP has 100% equity in the discovery.

Butamax Advanced Biofuels LLC, a 50/50 joint venture between BP and DuPont, combining expertise in fuels with industrial biotechnology, today announced the acquisition of Nesika Energy, LLC and its state-of-the-art ethanol facility in Scandia, Kansas. Butamax will now start the detailed engineering work to add bio-isobutanol capacity to the facility, while continuing to produce ethanol before and after adding this capacity.

Es ist absoluter quatsch, dass bp die modalitäten seiner dividendenausschüttung geändert hat.

Heißt ihr habt weiter die MÖGLICHKEIT statt der Divi in Bar neue Aktien zu nehmen so wie immer.

Klasse die Dividende wird immer sicherer, bin seit 3,5 Jahre dabei .... und bleibe dabei. Ergänze meine Öl Aktien demnächst noch um TOTAL (Mein erster Franzose - fehlt mir noch)

Die Menge ist zwar für den Unternehmenswert weitestgehend irrelevant, aber die neuen technologischen Möglichkeiten sind interessant, wenn sie die Trefferquote beim Drillen erhöhen und auch in Zukunft neue Reserven zu Tage bringen. Eine gute Nachricht.  

Bereinigt um Sonder- und Bewertungseffekte verdreifachte sich der Gewinn nahezu auf 1,5 Milliarden US-Dollar, wie BP am Dienstag mitteilte. Dies war mehr als Analysten erwartet hatten. Herausgerechnet wurden dabei unter anderem Zahlungen für die Ölkatastrophe im Golf von Mexiko vor sieben Jahren sowie Abschreibungen. Einschließlich dieser Effekte belief sich der Gewinn auf 1,4 Milliarden Dollar, nachdem im Vorjahr noch ein Verlust von mehr als einer halben Milliarde Dollar in den Büchern stand. Die Aktionäre sollen wie im Jahr zuvor eine Dividende von 10 Cent je Anteilsschein erhalten.

schön zu sehen, dass BP auf dem richtigen Weg ist. Letztes Jahr wurden etwas über 4 Mrd. an Dividende ausgeschüttet, sollte der Gewinn in den nächsten Quartalen so bleiben würde nicht mehr aus der Substanz ausgeschüttet werden.

Sollte sich die positive Entwicklung weiter gehen erhoffe ich mir für 2018 eine minmale Dividendenerhöhung. Bin aber grundsätzlich mit der DiviRe. zufrieden.

BP announces start of production from Quad 204 project, west of Shetland

UK project is the third of seven new upstream major projects expected to come on stream for BP in 2017.

BP, on behalf of co-venturers Shell and Siccar Point Energy, is pleased to announce first oil from the redeveloped Schiehallion Area, following completion of the multi-billion-pound Quad 204 project in the west of Shetland region, offshore UK.

Schiehallion and the adjacent Loyal fields were first developed in the mid-1990s and have produced nearly 400 million barrels of oil since production started in 1998. With the fields’ redevelopment through the Quad 204 project, BP and co-venturers expect to unlock a further estimated 450 million barrels of resources, extending the life of the fields out to 2035 and beyond. Production from the project is expected to ramp up through the remainder of 2017 to a plateau level of 130,000 barrels of oil per day.

The project has included the construction and installation of the world’s largest harsh water floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel - the ‘Glen Lyon’ -a major upgrade and replacement of subsea facilities and a continuous drilling programme of up to 20 new wells to enable the full development of the reserves.

BP is planning to double its UK North Sea production to 200,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day (boe/d) by 2020 and sustain a material business in the region for several decades. Production from the new Clair Ridge major project is expected next year. Over the next 18 months, BP plans to participate in up to five exploration wells in the UK, in addition to drilling approximately 50 development wells over the next 3-4 years.

“This is exciting news for both bpTT and the industry, as these discoveries are the start of a rejuvenated exploration program on the Trinidad shelf,” said Norman Christie, Regional President for bpTT. “We are starting to see the benefits of the significant investment we have made in seismic processing and Ocean Bottom Seismic acquisition. Savannah and Macadamia demonstrate that with the right technology we can continue to uncover the full potential of the Columbus Basin. This is a testament to bpTT’s ongoing commitment to the development of our Trinidad and Tobago operations and the wider industry, and we look forward to the future portfolio drill-out.”

Ich wusste schon, warum ich BP gewählt habe ;-)

Die Aktie habe ich auch meiner Tochter empfohlen, gerade wegen der regelmäßigen und guten Dividenden. Einer der Werte, bei denen ich es mit Kostolany halte.

...bin deshalb mit 4000 Stück nun auch dabei.
