Siderúrgica Nacional SA posted their steepest drop in almost two weeks on Thursday, reflecting concern that Brazil's No. 2 maker of flat steel products could overpay for ThyssenKrupp AG's money-losing Steel Americas unit. CSN, as the São Paulo-based company is known, dropped as much as 5 percent to 11.82 reais in early afternoon trading. ..... A source told Reuters earlier in the day that both CSN and ArcelorMittal SA have emerged as leading bidders for the two steel mills ThyssenKrupp AG is trying to sell in the United States and Brazil. .....while Brazil's CSN is offering $3.8 billion for both that plant and a majority stake in Brazilian mill Cia. Siderúrgica do Atlántico SA, known by its acronym of CSA, the source said. "In our view a potential acquisition of Thyssen's assets in the Americas would be negative for CSN," Rodrigo Barros, a senior mining and steel analyst with Deutsche Bank Securities, said in a client note. "If an acquisition were to occur by CSN ... we would expect ThyssenKrupp's steel assets to contribute negative earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization" for CSN.... jetzt les ich übrigens gerade bei reuters, dass deren gebot nur bei 2,6 mrd. EUR liegen soll, also abschreibungen von 1,3 mrd. |
