Flash memory maker SanDisk Corp. (SNDK: news, chart, profile) fell 19 percent to $22.90 after it reported third-quarter earnings of 29 cents per share on sales of $408 million. It was expected to earn 34 cents per share on sales of $456 million. See full story.

Lam Research (LRCX: news, chart, profile), another chip-equipment maker, fell 2.1 percent to $22.11 after it said it earned 64 cents per share on sales of $419.5 million in its fiscal first quarter. It was expected to report a profit of 58 cents per share on sales of $409 million.
Network storage company QLogic Corp. (QLGC: news, chart, profile) eased 0.4 percent to $29.99 after it reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of 38 cents per share on revenue of $134.6 million. It was expected to earn 36 cents per share on sales of $133 million.
Cancer drug company MGI Pharma (MOGN: news, chart, profile) fell 2.1 percent to $25.92 after it reported a third-quarter loss of $1.26 per share on sales of $55.5 million. The company forecast a 2004 pretax loss of $88 million.
Internet telephone company Net2Phone Inc.(NTOP: news, chart, profile) fell a penny to $3.60 in light volume after it reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of 16 cents per share on sales of $21.1 million. It was expected to post a loss of 10 cents per share on sales of $21 million. |
