NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Rosen Law Firm, P.A. announces that it is investigating potential securities claims against A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ:APWR - News) resulting from allegations that the company may have issued materially misleading financial statements and business information to the investing public.

On June 17, 2011 the Company issued a press release announcing that Robert B. Leckie had resigned from the Company’s Board of Directors “as a result of concerns that his views on process and best practices were not necessarily shared throughout the Company.” A-Power stated that the resignation was not prompted by any disagreement with A-Power on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.

Later in the day, however, an article was published on Seeking Alpha raising a number of red flags of fraud at the Company, including allegations that the 2009 financial statements filed by A-Power’s main subsidiaries with Chinese regulators showed less than one-tenth of the revenue and cash balances, which appear in A-Power’s financial statements filed with the SEC.

The Rosen Law Firm is preparing a securities class action lawsuit on behalf of A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. securities to recover their investment losses. dass nahezu alle Chinawerte in den Keller fallen, aber bei A-Power sehe ich auch einen Grund dafür.

Shares of China-based electricity grid technology provider A-Power Energy Generation Systems (APWR) were halted this afternoon just before the company announced its auditor has resigned and that the company will delay filing of its 20-F form with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

The shares had been 2 cents, or 1%, at $1.67 before the halt. You can check the Nasdaq trade halts status page for updates on the resumption of trading.

APWR said its independent auditor, MSCM LLP, staed in a letter dated June 26th that “it had resigned because the Company had not retained a qualified independent forensic accounting firm to evaluate certain business transactions that MSCM stated was necessary for MSCM to complete its audit of the Company’s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2010 on a timely basis.”

The 20-F report on financial results for 2010 will be delayed beyond June 30th, its due date, the company said. A-Power’s audit committee will conduct a search for a replacement to MSCM and will seek to file its 20-F “as soon as possible,” the company said.

http://rosenlegal.com/index.html

Es geht um Schadensersatzansprüche in Millionenhöhe

A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd.

The Rosen Law Firm has filed a class action lawsuit against A-Power Energy Generation Systems based on allegations that the company misrepresented its revenue to shareholders.

A former A-Power director recently alleged that the financial statements filed by A-Power’s main subsidiaries with Chinese regulators showed less revenue and cash balances than the financial statements A-Power filed with the SEC. This news caused A-Power's share price to plummet and NASDAQ has halted trading in its stock.

As a result of these allegations, the Rosen Law Firm has filed a class action lawsuit to help investors recover their losses in A-Power stock.
