Ross Systems, Inc. Estimates 2nd Quarter Profit 19% Increase in Software License Growth More than Doubles Per Share Earnings
ATLANTA, Jan 15, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Ross Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROSS), a leading provider of world class enterprise management software and e-business solutions for mid-market process manufacturers, announced today that it expects a profit of $0.45 diluted earnings per share (EPS) for its second fiscal quarter of 2003, which ended December 31, 2002. Revenues for the quarter are estimated to exceed $12.0 million. The quarter's results reflect positive operating earnings, which further improved over the sequential quarter. Software license revenue improved 19% over the prior year same quarter while expense management resulted in further improvements in both operating margins and net earnings. Estimates are based upon preliminary results and are subject to final review. "We are pleased with our growth in software license revenue and new customer sales worldwide," said J. Patrick Tinley, Chairman and CEO of Ross Systems. "We also achieved overall growth in total revenue as many new customers began implementation." The Company is scheduled to announce the results for the quarter ending December 31, 2002 on February 4, 2003, after completion of routine quarterly review procedures by its external auditors.
