The patterns of symbolism can easily be twisted and inverted to create propaganda. We look at recent movies such as Wonder Woman and Mad Max, Furie Road, which use symbolic devices to replace masculine types with feminine characters

Red is without a doubt the most symbolic color. So how do filmmakers use it to elevate the visual impact of their movies? Through the lens of the symbolic masterpiece Schindler’s List, let’s explore all the history and power packed in such a vibrant color.

Novak schenkt ihm wenig Glauben, denn er meint: „Der junge Kundera war zu dieser Zeit nach allem, was wir wissen, tatsächlich ein fieberhafter Stalinist.“ Hier wie an anderen Stellen ist Novaks Schreiben von seinem überzeugten Antikommunismus geprägt. Was dem Leser am Ende fehlt, ist eine Biografie über die Zeit nach der Emigration. Und es bleibt die Frage: Kann man die erste Lebenshälfte Kunderas ohne die zweite betrachten?  

Manchmal hören wir uns wie Sonic Youth an. Das ist allerdings nicht unbedingt Zufall.
