Ich habe mal bei MFC nachgefragt wie die Lage so ausschaut. Die Antwort kam schon nach wenigen Stunden:
Dear Mr xxx
Many thanks for your note. I am not sure whether you were referring more to Proto than MFC - but let me answer your question from MFC's angle. No we are not in trouble in relation to the Bass metals investment - but are very disappointed to see the mess that they have got into and the resulting reduction in the value of that investment. Although this has obviously reduced the cash and liquids that we have available, we have sufficient cash at bank to implement on our current plans without raising further funds. Obviously a large part of our activities are focused towards the nickel projects and I believe that we are now getting critical mass into that strategy - the progress we have achieved on Barnes Hill and the fact that we are about to enter into an agreement on another nickel project is going to provide the impetus for finalising funding on the Lucky Break project and getting cracking on it. The process has been held up for about 6 months due to the negotiations that we have been having with Dow Chemicals for their participation in Lucky Break. This is a very important (and exciting) potential deal for MFC and Lucky Break as could provide a huge amount of technical support and credibility to our efforts. We are now hoping to close that deal within the next month or so - and then we will move ahead on the project. Once we have LB up and running I do not believe there will be any problems in the funding of Barnes Hill - and yes I do believe it will still be largely handled by Andrew Mortimer's deal with Caterpillar. We also have a couple of other deals we are hoping to bring over the line in the 3-4 months.
Kind regards Tony
