Western Plains to Acquire Additional Heavy Oil Assets in the Maidstone Area

Mar. 7, 2011 (Filing Services Canada) -- Western Plains Petroleum Ltd. (WPP - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce it has entered into a purchase and sale agreement for the arm's length acquisition of a 100% net interest in 320 acres of petroleum and natural gas rights located in the Maidstone area of west-central Saskatchewan (the "Maidstone Asset") from Petrostar Petroleum Corporation for the cash consideration of $750,000, subject to industry standard closing adjustments, with an effective date of December 1, 2010.

The Maidstone Asset has 10 heavy oil wells (9 vertical and 1 horizontal), of which only 1 well is on production at an average rate of 15 bbls/d, with the other 9 wells shut-in. The property also has one horizontal water injection/pressure maintenance well. After closing of this acquisition, Western Plains intends to re-activate all 9 shut-in wells and complete a work-over on the producing well to maximize production from this asset. The Maidstone Asset lies adjacent to the Company's existing Maidstone interests and will increase its land holdings in this area to 480 gross acres (400 net acres). Closing is expected to occur by mid-March, subject to regulatory approval. No finder's fee is payable in respect of this proposed acquisition.  

Bei der derzeitigen Lage kann man sich bei PEP, was den Kurs angeht  ja richtig sicher fühlen !?

ich denke die Grundsteine sind gelegt, jeder hat und hatte nun die Möglichkeit Anteile zu erweben. Nun warten wir die Dinge ab und werden hoffentlich mittfristig positiv überrascht sein.

Ich weiß auch nichts darüber, aber normaler weise heißt das für Kanadische Aktien, die sich im Penny-Bereich befinden, nie was Gutes.
Z.T. wird der Trading Halt angeordnet, wenn kein/kaum noch Handel stattfindet oder die finanzielle Lage des Unternehmens mehr als bedenklich ist.

Da das DHT anscheinend nicht weiter oder mit verminderter Itensität verfolgt wird (m.M.n. haben die sich in eine immer weiterführende Speziallisierung des DHT verrannt, anstatt gleich nach Erstellung des DHT1 sich um die Vermarktung zu kümmern) und das ETH-Projekt mit einem (??) verkauften ETH auch festgefahren hat, sowie der "professionellen Durchführung" von Bohrungen im Bakken, einhergehend mit dem unsagbar ausufernden Informationsfluß an die Aktionäre, glaube ich derzeit an NICHTS GUTES.

PETROSTAR UPDATES SHAREHOLDERS

Prior to the start of trading this morning (May 11, 2011), the British Columbia Securities Commission issued a cease trade order for Petrostar Petroleum Corp.'s shares. The CTO was issued due the company failing to file its audited annual financials and annual MD&A (management discussion and analysis) by the May 2, 2011, filing deadline.

Management has been in contact with the BCSC and is working to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. Management is also in daily contact with the company's auditor, BDO Dunwoody of Vancouver, B.C., and will file all necessary documentations as soon as they are completed. Once all documentation is filed and all filing fees are paid, trading is expected to resume.

All necessary documents that were requested by the Canadian Exchange regulators have now been filed. I expect the company to resume trading in the next few days. We will be consolidating the shares on a 4:1 ratio. We expect to have news shortly after the resumption of trading. I believe there will be good opportunity for all shareholders once this occurs and there will be opportunity for existing shareholders to possibly participate in a private placement funding if you are interested.

D.h. für 4 alte Aktien gibt es eine neue Aktie, am Depotwert gesamt ändert sich nicht, es ist nur dazu da, um den Kurs optisch zu erhöhen.

Further to TSX Venture Exchange Bulletin dated May 10, 2011, the Exchange has been advised that the Cease Trade Order issued by the British Columbia Securities Commission on May 10, 2011 has been revoked.

Effective at the opening Thursday, June 9, 2011 trading will be reinstated in the securities of the Company (CUSIP 71676D 20 4).
