I am honored to be participating with other colorectal cancer Business and Advocacy leaders at the White House for a meeting with the Cancer Moonshot Program. The challenge before us - 44 million Americans remain unscreened for colorectal cancer due to lack of healthcare access, financial responsibility, and patient barriers. Colorectal cancer, although the #2 deaths due to cancer, is nearly preventable with programmatic screening and beatable if caught early. Together – Government, Advocacy, and Industry must develop technologies and programs that can be effectively implemented to address all aspects of the problem.
I would like to thank President Biden, Vice President Harris, First Lady Dr. Biden, Dr. Danielle Carnival and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy for continuing the Cancer Moonshot Program. Thank you as well to the entire Fight Colorectal Cancer team lead by Anjee Davis for organizing this important meeting. The ultimate goal is – Leave no one unscreened & end colorectal cancer. |
