Europe's Banks May Write off 9.7 Billion Euros, JPMorgan Says

June 16 (Bloomberg) -- European banks may make additional mark-to-market writedowns of 9.7 billion euros ($14.9 billion), analysts at JPMorgan Chase & Co. said.
Deutsche Bank AG may write off 3.6 billion euros before tax, Credit Suisse Group AG 2.1 billion Swiss francs ($2 billion), Societe Generale 1.8 billion euros and Natixis 1.4 billion euros, London-based analysts Kian Abouhossein, Jacob Kruse and Delphine Lee wrote in a note dated today. |
