2 beiträge von JMinvestor auf SH. unfachmännisch gesagt, alle die REs aus silikaten gewinnen wollen haben ein problem weil dies noch niemandem gelungen ist und die kosten hierfür ins unendliche steigen könnten bei ungewissen erfolgsaussichten. da frage ich die fachleute unter euch: hat jminvesor da recht, oder sind das wieder solche Glaubenskämpfe just got a quick note from a friend attending the conference. "Valery Kosykin and Rob Mackay seemed to have the most knowledge on building a RE mine and designing the process for it. The former leader from Rhodia was there speaking too, and he and Valery gave many reasons why you must avoid REs in silicates. No one has ever come up with a process to extract REs from these mineral types and many have tried, including various government agencies. It was a big shot in the foot to many companies here to have that statement come from such knowledgeable, experienced men."....... Most of the Zirconium Niobium Tantalum REs projects are silicates - TSM, MAT, QRM (some parts of their deposit) are a few. TSM and MAT say they have simple metallurgy, but thats only to concentrate form. Then your reach the problems creating the individual oxides, especially if you're using sulphuric acid in the cracking process. AVL is also having trouble with their process, which could lead to a never ending train of expenditures. So, the Dines picks will likely have problems in the future. The only other RE deal that I like is FRO, but they still need to prove their monazite can be processed effectively. Excellent MGMT there though. Northern in Australia would be the best HRE deal around if they didn't have the high radioactivity issue, and Australia didn't have a ban on new radioactive mines. Really too bad for them, cause the resource is great. The Russians have an unlimited resource of HRE silicates near the Lovozero LRE mine, but have never been able to crack the code. It's also going to be interesting to see how much ORT can produce with their process. People are ignoring their RE production potential, but they will beat every other canadian junior to RE production. I'm not saying it can't be done, all im saying is the risks are very high with many other juniors compared to Stans, IMO |
