New World record in Mobile Ticketing Set by DIMOCO and NeoMedia's Gavitec AG - Mobile Digit
10,000-plus Automated Tickets Issued At 'Vienna's World Records Day' on the Prater

Gavitec (www.gavitec.com) and DIMOCO (http://www.dimoco.at/at_de/) took part in Vienna's World Records Day, held on the famous Prater on September 19th to showcase attempts at records to be submitted to Guinness® World Records™. Dr. Christian Steinborn, Gavitec's COO, said more than 10,000 automated tickets were issued for the event, including 7,000 tickets which were "validated," making them eligible to establish a world mark in mobile ticketing. "The true benefits of new ticketing technology," he said, "are time- and cost-savings, as well as easy handling for visitors and organizers alike."

Automated Ticketing at the World Records Day
Aiming for the record, DIMOCO and Gavitec delivered some 10,000 mobile tickets to mobile phone screens – approximately 7,000 of which were then validated via scanning by Gavitec-mobile digit, using its proprietary EXIO™ system, which is able to change a code into a ticket.
Each of the 10,000 participants in the record-setting effort was registered via SMS, the Internet, or at the event itself, and received a mobile ticket or a participation certificate. The automated tickets, as well as the certificates contained a 2D Datamatrix smartcode, as well as a numerical ID.
