As of June 1, 2017, David Jon Hardy joins Senvion and takes on the role as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). In this role he will be responsible for all commercial and sales activity in the company and will report to CEO Jürgen Geissinger.
Mr Hardy has almost 20 years of sales experience and a global outlook, having worked in several executive management positions. After serving for eight years in the US Navy’s submarine community, from 1998 to 2008, Mr Hardy held sales and sales management roles at General Electric. After GE, at IDEX Corporation, Mr Hardy was Global Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and after IDEX he then became Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Signature Aluminum/Aluminum Shapes.
Prior to joining Senvion, Mr Hardy gained broad wind industry experience at Vestas, where he worked for the last seven years in various commercial leadership capacities including Business Development, Account Management, and Sales Operations. For the last four years, he led Sales for Vestas in North America and was promoted to Senior Vice President Sales in early 2015. He thus brings to Senvion his expertise in technical selling and account management, and his strong relationships within the wind sector.
His educational background includes diplomas in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA in Finance & Management from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Mr. Hardy is an American citizen and has now moved from Portland, Oregon to Hamburg. |
