Oracle meets FQ3 expectation (ORCL) By Mike Tarsala SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Oracle (ORCL) on Thursday reported net income that met analysts' expectations. Net income was $635 million, or 12 cents a share, up from $571 million, or 11 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 9 percent to $2.5 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had expected revenue of about $2.51 billion, on average. Oracle shares rose 16 cents to close at $12.25 in Nasdaq trading, ahead of the announcement.
