Obwohl für mich Bougainville Copper Aktien 852652 (US BOCOF.PK)u. ADRs 867948 (US BOCOY.PK) den gleichen Wert besitzen (beide repräsentieren 1 Bougainville Copper) gibt es bei der Kursstellung in D gravierende Unterschiede.

Obwohl beide Gattungen auch in USA gehandelt werden,kann man nur die ADRs ohne Lagerstellenwechsel gewinnbringend nach USA crossen.

So wurden heute in USA 353 K ADRs zwischen 0,75 u.0,80 USD oder 0,5395 u.0,5642 € gehandelt,was lockere 10% über D Kurs ist.Ein Grossteil davon dürfte von den ESBC stammen u.so dem hiesigen Markt wieder entzogen sein.

Eine heutige Kauforder in AU von 300K a 0,95 AUD 0,5911 €  wurde nur zu 2/3 bedient.

Jetzt fehlen nur noch die  erwarteten  weiteren positiven Meldungen aus Bougainville u. die Chartausbrüche über 1 AUD,0,80 USD,0,60 € u.0,50€ (ADR).An allen Marken wurde schon erfolgreich gekratzt.Der nächste Schritt sollte eine Stabilisierung darüber sein

The government in the autonomous Papua New Guinea region of Bougainville is carrying out an engagement programme in the Panguna Mine-affected areas.

The plan is to reach people in Central Bougainville and the Panguna landowning communities, who the government describe as crucial stakeholders in the process to re-open the mine.

The government wants to explain why it has re-issued a mining exploration licence to Bougainville Copper Ltd (BCL)

In January the government gave BCL a 5-year extension of its exploration licence, an EL01.

The government is aiming to correct any misinformation in the mine affected communities.

It wants to stress the link Bougainville's push for independence and the need for this to be backed by a strong and sound economic base, and this is why it is pushing for the mine to re-open.

The Department of Mineral & Energy Resources presented a cost-benefit analysis of the proposed Panguna redevelopment project, comparing it to the former Panguna mine.

Six years ago, the previous John Momis led government had refused BCL an extension of its licence, resulting in legal action, which is ongoing.

Panguna stakeholder awareness hosted in Guava village today

was significant as the government team was hosted in Guava village, which holds the legacy and is the final resting place of Bougainville Revolutionary leader, Late Francis Ona.

The purpose of the multi-stakeholder awareness is to effectively communicate correct and vital information about the issuance of EL01 to Bougainville Copper Limited and address community concerns and questions surrounding the issuance of the exploration license.

Acting Chief Secretary explained to the communities today that following the granting of the exploration license early this year, the ABG had appointed a Committee to be led by the Office of the Chief Secretary and other key ABG departments to facilitate community awareness and dialogue sessions with the communities in the mine-affected areas in Panguna.

He said this direct engagement between the Government and the communities was critical to educate them about the issuance of the exploration license and clarify any rumors or misinformation, and more importantly, to build trust and alliance and facilitate the space for honest and open dialogue between the Government and the landowners.

ABG Member for Central Veterans Hon. Junior Dake was also present at the community program today. He reminded the landowners that the issues that the Late Francis Ona fought for when he shut down the mining operations in Panguna, has served also as a lesson for resource owners in other parts of the country and in the world.

He emphasized that the suffering and hardships from Panguna have resulted today in better benefit arrangements for resource owners in other parts of the country that have mining operations, while Bougainville continues to suffer the consequences.

The ABG Department of Bougainville Independence Mission Implementation provided an overview on the current political journey that Bougainville is on and how it requires strong economic backing to ensure that Bougainville can fund and sustain its political aspirations for independence.

The ABG Department of Finance also presented to the stakeholders the current economic situation in Bougainville, highlighting the fiscal gap that must be filled through transformative economic interventions.

An update was also provided to the Guava community on commitments made the ABG President Hon. Ishmael Toroama, for key projects in Guava village, including road infrastructure and the construction of special monuments as a way to preserve the memory and educate future generations about Bougainville’s history, the conflict and the sacrifices made during those times.

The ABG Department of Mineral & Energy Resources presented a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis of the proposed Panguna redevelopment project in comparison to the former Panguna mine, emphasized on the mineral project life cycle of which the ABG and the landowners are now in following the issuance of the exploration license. Clarity was also provided on the license conditions under the Bougainville Mining Act, that are attached with the exploration license issued to BCL.

ABG and Panguna Stakeholders forge unified path forward after week-long consultations

The week-long community engagement program for the Panguna mine-affected areas ended today in Arawa Town, seeing all stakeholders unified in support for the redevelopment of the Panguna mine.

Beginning on Monday this week, the EL-01 Administrative Oversight Committee led by the ABG Acting Chief Secretary Kearnneth Nanei and key department heads met veterans and Panguna Landowning communities from Moroni, Dapera, Pirurari and Onove villages on Monday and Tuesday.

On Wednesday the ABG team met with landowners in Guava, Mosinau and Kokore villages. On Thursday at the Pakia Catholic Chapel, the team met with landowners in the Parakake, Pakia, Siredongsi, Mainku, Korokoro and Ikipute villages. Today the awareness was completed with Panguna landowners residing in Sunua, Paraiano and Kupei villages at the Sharp Memorial Youth Centre in Arawa.

The community engagement focused on communicating correct and vital information about the issuance of EL-01 to Bougainville Copper Limited and address some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) concerning the issuance.

This direct engagement with the veterans and communities in the Panguna mine-affected areas was critical to build trust and collaborative partnership with these key stakeholders through open and honest dialogue.

Throughout the community engagement program, similar community concerns were raised in all communities relating to the legality of the exploration license, BCL share transfers, the protection of resource owners and their environment under Bougainville laws, legacy issues from the past and how it will be dealt with going forward.

Majority of the communities visited emphasized that they would like more of these consultations to continue going forward to ensure that mutual understanding and trust is built, and that their voices are heard through a participatory approach, with some proposing to have an association or entity established that integrates all landowners and other mine affected communities.

A positive highlight from the week-long consultation was the consensus and understanding reached regarding the ABG’s decision in granting the exploration license to BCL, and the respect shown by the veterans and landowners on the ABG’s decision as the government authority of the day.

Central Bougainville Veterans and landowners of the Panguna mine-affected communities expressed their firm support to the ABG and reaffirmed their decision for the reopening of the defunct Panguna mine under the condition that is reopened under Bougainville’s own terms and conditions.

ABG Secretary for Mineral & Energy Resources Peter Kolotein clarified that the project has now entered the project’s mine life cycle following the issuance of EL-01, and he assured all the communities that this is the first of many more consultations and dialogue to happen.

The Department of Mineral & Energy Resources will be setting up its office in Arawa Town to ensure visibility and ease of access for the landowners to the Department.

BCL staff were also in attendance at the community engagement programs throughout the week where they had the opportunity to hear first-hand all community concerns and issues directly from the people.

Auch Miriori dürfte erkannt haben dass es zur Umsetzung der Unabhängigkeit gewisser finanzieller Mittel bedarf welche nur durch die Wiedereröffnung der Pangunamine generiert werden können.

Nachdem Momis seine RTG Abzocker vor die Tür gesetzt hat hat man nichts mehr von ihm gehört.

Ja - die Smlola torpedierte lange Zeit unsere BCL sehr massiv.
Seit einigen Monaten ist jedoch zu beobachten, dass sich die Smlola absolut neutral verhält.
Die Berichte der Regierung zu BCL werden neutral widergegeben.
Alles andere wäre auch nicht im Interesse der Menschen von Bougainville.
Klar dass  andere Gesellschaften hier Interessen hatten. Dies ist nun ja aber gerichtsfest geklärt, und es war richtig und wichtig, dass dies einvernehmlich zwischen BCL und der AGB geschah und nicht durch ein Urteil.
Ich war von Anbeginn an der festen Überzeugung, dass die EL1 Lizenz weiterhin besteht.
Es wäre nicht gut für die Zukunft gewesen, wenn das Gericht von PNG das gegen die AGB entschieden hätte. Somit haben wir nun für alle Seiten die beste Lösung.
Präsident Toroama ist ein sehr kluger Mann.
Nun kann - zeitnah - auch noch zu einem Zeitpunkt wo der neue Staat noch formal zu PNG gehört, mit der Erschließung der Mine begonnen werden um die Finanzierung des neuen freien Staates Bougainville zu gewährleisten. Die Mine hatte mit einem Anteil von nur ca. 17% damals die Unabhängigkeit PNGs von Australien ermöglicht. Die Menschen von Bougainville halten dann über 70% an BCL (vorbehaltlich der Einhaltung der Zusagen von Marape welche ja auch kürzlich nochmals von ihm bestätigt wurde!).
Fazit: Der neue Staat Bougainville steht mit BCL vor einer goldenen Zukunft und die Freiheitskämpfer erreichten eigentlich ein Wunder! Bougainville steht vor einer goldenen Zukunft! Auch wir langjährigen Freunde von BCL/Bougainville werden dies nun schon bald erleben....  

Kurs und Volumen spiegeln es schon wider.  

Die Entscheidungen von Regierungen in Washington und London, neu hergestelltes russisches Nickel, Aluminium und Kupfer nicht mehr an der LME und CME zuzulassen, haben für zusätzlichen Sorgen über die Verfügbarkeit dieser begehrten Rohstoffe geführt und die Preise weiter in die Höhe getrieben.

Nach Ansicht des Rohstoffhandelskonzerns Trafigura wird ein anhaltendes Wachstum in den Bereichen Elektromobilität, Strominfrastruktur Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) und Automatisierung dazu führen, dass weltweit im nächsten Jahrzehnt mindestens 10 Mio. Tonnen Kupfer zusätzlich benötigt werden. Das erklärte Trafigura gegenüber der Nachrichtenagentur Reuters.

Die wieder anziehende Wirtschaft dürfte die Nachfrage nach Kupfer erhöhen, weshalb Anleger erste Käufe tätigten. Zusätzlich sorgten bei dem Metall Meldungen aus Peru für Auftrieb: Dort kann in zwei Kupferminen des Landes, in welchen etwa 20 Prozent des peruanischen Kupfers gefördert wird, derzeit nicht produziert werden. Grund sind Proteste der indigenen Bevölkerung. Peru ist hinter Chile der zweitgrößte Kupferförderer auf der Erde. Sollten die Demonstrationen anhalten und die Förderung längere Zeit behindert werden, kann das auf dem Weltmarkt nur schwer aufgefangen werden. Die Kupfervorräte in den Lagerhäusern sind gegenwärtig nämlich auf einem niedrigen Stand.

Kupfer ist mehr denn je einer der gefragtesten Rohstoffe auf dem Weltmarkt. Es ist lebenswichtig, da das Metall fast überall im täglichen Leben verwendet wird, von elektrischen Leitungen bis hin zu Autos und Computer-Mikrochips. Die Einführung von Elektrofahrzeugen (EV), die mehr Kupfer benötigen, und das Wachstum der Mikrochipproduktion für den Einsatz bei der Implementierung künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) dürften die Nachfrage nur noch weiter ankurbeln.
In diesem Zusammenhang ist die im Kupfermarkt drohende Versorgungslücke nicht zu übersehen, was den langfristigen Bullenmarkt enorm stützt. Wir sprechen hier nicht von kurzfristigen Preisschwankungen, sondern von längerfristigen Aspekten, die auf dramatisch höhere Kupferpreise in der Zukunft deuten.

der australische Kurs liegt bei umgerechnet rund 0,4564...
in D gibts die Stücke weiterhin mit einem ordentlichen Abschlag zu kaufen...

Ich kann mir vorstellen dass ein seit der Schliessung investierter von der zeit etwas angeknabbert sein kann. Immerhin 7,5$ im ATH ende der 80er

Wer bei Swens Erstveröffentlichung in 2004 eingestiegen ist konnte zwischen 0,20 u. o,25 locker einsammeln.

Wer zwischenzeitig hin und wieder ein paar böcke veräussert hat ( als die ADR plandemie beendet wurde vorzugsweise nach USA exportiert )  und mit den tradinggewinnen neue böcke zugekauft hat sollte nach ca. 20 jahren eine gratis herde haben die sich zumindest verdoppelt hat. Und noch dazu steuerfrei,  

Zieimlich bullischer Chart - war auch zu verlockend...

Habe Montag +  Dienstag in Australien alles weggeräumt - waren allerdings die ersten Zukäufe für mich seit 14 Jahren.

Sollte Vollzug der Aktienübertrag von PNG an das ABG gemeldet werden, dann steht der Kurs fix bei 1,50 AUD.

Aktuelle Market Cap für die ehemals zweitgrößte Kuperminde auf €-Basis bei 160 Millionen Market Cap.

Bei voller Operabilität sehe ich eine Bewertung von circa 5 Mrd. AUD Market Cap für gerechtfertigt. Das mag noch 3-5 Jahre dauern - aber es wären circa 12 AUD je Aktie... Als Bewertungsvergleich ziehe ich Southern Copper heran, die ähnlich Kupfermengen fördern wie BOC es getan hat....

Den Termin hatte ich bisher nirgends gefunden.

Seitdem ziehen die Kurse in Australien an.
Gut das es in Papua immer alles nach Recht und Ordnung zugeht und es keine Insidergeschäfte gibt ;-)
Demnächst wird sicherlich die BaFin in Port Moresby und Buka aktiv...

Aber irgendwie werde ich das Gefühl nicht los, dass es bei dem Treffen sehr positive Entwicklungen gegeben hat...
