Alle mitmachen! OSC-Fax 001-416-593-8241 Schaden wirds uns nicht! ------------------------------ Howard Wetston, Chair Ontario Securities Commission Suite 1903 – 20 Queen Street West TORONTO, ON M5H 3S8 ------------------------------ Dear Mr. Wetston, I am writing to you as a common stock shareholder in the company Sino-Forest Corporation, the shares of which the Commission has issued an order to halt trading. I object to the trading halt, primarily because it results in the OSC interfering in the market place; secondly, because it massively favours the short-sellor side of the Long vs Short trading approach; and lastly, because stock holders have no market in which to exit their holdings, resulting, so it seems, in loses of hundreds of millions of dollars, perhaps billions, for stock holders. Remember, at the time of the halt, a billionaire was accumulating massive amounts of Sino-Forest shares. The market was operating properly. Sellers had a market and buyers had a market. On a related matter, I am hugely disappointed that the Commission does not chastise short-seller scammers; a group that are un-accountable for their tales of half-truths and out-right lies, while at the same time, benefiting to the tune of millions, primarily due to their own, unchecked, works of fiction. Sir, a grave injustice has been done to TRE investors. I expect the OSC to fix matters promptly as dragging your feet on the lifting of the halt is harmful to the investment community. Sincerely, |
