Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in Canadian markets today. The preview includes news that broke after markets closed yesterday. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
The Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index rose 312.92, or 2.2 percent, to 14,625 yesterday in Toronto, climbing within 0.76 point of its July 19 record.

Forsys Metals Corp., which is developing a uranium mine in Namibia, signed a 2 billion Namibian dollar ($307-million) memorandum of understanding with Korea Electric Power Corp. The agreement is one of the financing options Forsys is considering to develop its Valencia project in the southern African nation, Chief Executive Officer Duane Parnham said in a phone interview yesterday in the capital, Windhoek. Forsys shares gained 25 cents, or 5.9 percent, to C$4.50.
