The Directors of Tanami Gold NL (ASX: TAM) are pleased to announce that mining commenced at the Company\\'s 100%-owned Coyote Gold Project in Western Australia this morning, marking a significant milestone in the Company\\'s history.
In addition to mining commencing today, the airstrip is now complete and operational, the camp establishment is well advanced and civil works for the plant site have commenced.
The Company\\'s employees and contractors, CDE Capital Pty Ltd and BeMeX Corporation Pty Ltd, have done a great job to get the Coyote Gold Project to this stage.

The Company is well placed and on track for first gold production from Coyote in June 2006. Stage 1 of the Coyote Project is forecast to ramp up to an initial production level of 60,000 ounces per annum.
