"The 36-megawatt Hawkeye Wind Farm and 50-megawatt Rippey Wind Farm are being developed by RPM Access LLC (RPMA), an independent wind developer in Iowa. RPMA also developed the Elk Wind Farm in Delaware County, which became operational earlier this year and is supplying power to CIPCO as well. Both new wind projects will use Nordex 2.5-megawatt turbines on 328-foot high towers, the highest wind turbines in Iowa. Onsite road and substation construction activities at Hawkeye and Rippey have already begun.

"We are very pleased to further contribute towards new economic development that provides job opportunities to rural communities in Iowa," added Murdock. "And, we are proud to partner with a local developer like RPM Access on another project that is good for rural Iowa and good for our members."...."

Şamlı Res’in 24 Mw Ek Kapasitesi Devreye Alındı

Aksa Enerji Üretim AŞ ortaklıklardan Baki Elektrik Üretim Limited Şirketi bünyesinde bulunan Şamlı Rüzgâr Enerjisi Santrali (RES)’nin 24 megawattlık (MW) ek kapasite yatırımı tamamlanıp devreye alındı.


Böylelikle Şamlı RES’in Kurulu gücü 114 MW’a, şirketin 4 adet rüzgar santrali ile rüzgar enerjisi toplam kurulu gücü 160 MW’a çıktı. Baki Elektrik Üretim’in toplam operasyonel kurulu gücü ise 2 bin 6 MW’ı buldu.
Şamlı Santrali’nden senelik ilave 76 milyon kilowatt-saat üretim ile toplam 340 milyon kilowatt-saat elektrik üretiminin yapılması bekleniyor. Bu üretimle yaklaşık 100 bin konutun elektrik ihtiyacının karşılanacağı ve senelik 200 bin ton karbondioksit salınımının engelleneceği tahmin ediliyor.

In o.g. Beitrag nehme ich mal eben 200 MW vo der ein paar GW dicken inoffiziellen Projekt -Liste von und mit Nordex bei Mücke 1...und siehe da, der Beitrag wurde sogar positiv bewertet...und das lag sicher nicht nur daran, dass ich tags zuvor, 450 MW zur Liste hinzugefügt hatte...)

Auch die Big Blue WInd Farm hatte ich erst kürlich von der Liste genommen, da Gamesa den Auftrag erhalten hat...jaja

Ten years ago wind energy was a fledgling industry, but now it’s big business and getting bigger every year.   
AS a nation, we need to focus on being the best in certain energy areas and exploiting areas where we have a comparative advantage. In the 1950s it was agriculture and in 2011 it is wind and tidal energy.
Our wind blows stronger for longer than in most other countries. There is 3,500 megawatts (MW) of onshore wind energy either already developed or in planning. Offshore wind could provide a further 7,100MW.

Wind energy technology
While wind turbine design and manufacturing is possibly going to remain the preserve of big global players such as Siemens, GE, Vestas and Nordex, opportunities for Ireland primarily arise from technology-driven companies that can provide more efficient and innovative mechanical and software-based components for wind turbine design and manufacture. Indeed, one of our clients is working on improved wind turbine efficiency, which, if successful, would be a patented technology that could be sold to these big players.
We do believe that there will be some solution to storing electricity in the future and we have clients who have invested in electricity storage technologies. There may well be in the future an ability to harness night-time wind energy to power electric cars during the day time.
This was a fledgling industry ten years ago and all the players in it deserve praise for getting us to where we are now. Given the importance of energy security for Ireland, there needs to be greater government effort and support for the roll-out of wind farms into the future.
