Dear Danielle, dear Rory,
Last time I wrote a mail in October and thanks again for your answer. I’m still invested in your company (for me a clear long term investment) and first of all would like to congratulate you to the developments with the Prime Focus Deal. I hope everything will work out as planned and you won’t have the same issues as with the FFD deal.
That brings me to the reason of this approach:
The information from your company to the investment community were quite scarce during the last months, especially after the general meeting end of February everybody expected some more information and not just two sentences about the approved deal. I remember one of your intentions was to improve the communication. It seems like the German community invested in your company sees a gap between the promises and the actual situation.
From my point of view we need some more transparency to overcome the really bad volume in trading and downtrend in stock price:
Gener8: You clearly have a superior solution for 3D conversion but on the other hand this solutions was always too cost intensive and therefore not profitable. The sale or licensing of the software and services seems to be the right solution. Do I get it right, that after 5 years of licensing to Prime Focus, you’ll keep the Gener8 asset in your company or is this section completely sold?
Reelhouse: That seems to be a bit difficult to approach. User numbers are nowhere to be found and to evaluate the value is therefore tricky. It was valued with approx. $10 M in your balance sheet. In your December update you stated to quadruple user base. Is it possible to send out some update about the Reelhouse development to your investors? Are you still planning to sell it? What about cash flow from this section? Will it be part of your year-end report?
Now Cumul8, the big unknown:
Mid of last year Rory compared the future of Cumul8 to Splunk, now you have 3 customers and we don’t know how this segment will develop. That’s what keeps down the stock performance, there is no fantasy anymore and no real progress:
-§There are no revenues from cumul8 in your books
-§No project was reported finished by now (maybe therefore no revenues)
-§How will you disrupt the market with that progress?
-§You can’t find anything about cumul8 in any trade press
-§You can’t find anything about cumul8 outside your own news
-§There seems to be no marketing or business development
You can imagine, that all of these uncertainties are not signals for investors to buy into your company or hold your shares in the long run.
Furthermore, you changed your business model without telling about your new business model.
Therefore it’s essential for us shareholders to urge you to publish your vision, your outlook and your goals, to renew the story and the fantasy that Eight Solution will be disruptive and successful and improve the shareholder value. There is almost no trading on the Canadian exchange and therefore it’s only the German market with some trading. There are many who believe in your story and see a company which will grow, has a great team and will be successful but in these times patience at the stock market is a rare commodity.
Sorry for all those lines pouring out of me and the time it took you to read it but I hope you understand my worries as a shareholder. I also know that you’re not allowed to disclose any information to me apart from the public, therefore my request to send this update to the community and to reestablish the confidence in your company. |
