Die Aktien der Lynas Corporation ( ASX: LYC ) sind 2017 um 150% gestiegen und bewegen sich in einem Bereich, der zuletzt Mitte 2014 erreicht wurde.
Der Wiederanstieg der Seltenen Erden-Bergleute kann teilweise auf ein starkes Wachstum im Seltenerdmetall-Markt, insbesondere Neodym-Praseodym (NdPr), zurückgeführt werden.
NdPr sind zwei der am häufigsten verwendeten Seltenerdelemente und ihre wichtigste Anwendung ist in den Magneten für Elektromotoren, die die Nachfrage fördern.
Lynas ist der zweitgrößte Hersteller von NdPr-Material in der Welt und der führende Lieferant von NdPr für den freien Markt.
Das Unternehmen ist ein integrierter Bergmann und Produzent von Seltenen Erden und betreibt eine hochgradige Mine in Mt. Weld, Westaustralien und eine chemische Verarbeitungsanlage in Kuantan, Malaysia.
Wesentliche operative, Kosten- und Bilanzverbesserungen in den letzten 3 Jahren haben zu Rekord-Cashflow-, Umsatz- und Produktionsraten geführt.
Rekord-September-Quartal
Während des letzten September-Quartals verzeichnete Lynas deutliche Verbesserungen bei allen wichtigen Kennzahlen der Betriebsleistung.
Umsatz, Produktion und Cashflow aus dem operativen Geschäft erreichten neue Rekordwerte.
Der fakturierte Umsatz stieg im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum um 108% auf 112 Mio. USD.
