16041 Postings, 4052 Tage NikeJoe@AL: Die Bullenstory lautet?

Gut Ding braucht Weil...

79561 Postings, 8918 Tage KickyBofA : S&P 500 will end the year at 2900

"Many analysts have spent the past few weeks advising investors to buy the dips and pointing to unprecedented levels of fiscal and monetary stimulus, among other things, as reasons to be bullish on stocks.

Not BofA head of equity research Savita Subramanian. On a mid-year outlook briefing webinar, Subramanian explained that her year-end target for the S&P 500 SPX, +0.78% is 2900: an 8% decline from current levels. She offered one bull case for stocks — that they’ve rarely been so attractive, relative to bonds — but also noted a litany of headwinds. “I wouldn’t paint myself as a bear but the risks between here and year end are completely to the downside,” Subramanian said. “We’ve had a reopening frenzy and now we’re seeing payback.”....

lautet:

Heute US Oil Index ($XOI) minus 5,25 % - US Bankenindex ($BKX) minus 3,45 %.

(Defensiv ausgerichtet)

Ohne Absicherung long and only in den nächsten Jahren halte ich das CRV  historisch für sehr schlecht.

So den Geduld und Demut ...

79561 Postings, 8918 Tage KickyTrump is an advertiser of the stock market

- tens of millions see him tweeting about how wonderful it is - and as human nature shows, there's been a massive increase in Robinhood accounts of people who want to join the party on Wall Street with zero-commission trades.

Actually, the type of people coming to the party is not the typical career alcoholics who can handle three liquor shots, a kegstand, then a couple of beer bongs - no, these new daytraders are like high schoolers who haven't figured out how many beers it takes to blackout. They get sloppy and make mistakes.

Richard Dobatse, a Navy medic in San Diego, is one of those inexperienced daytraders who lost big. Just how big? Well, he lost $860,000 in March. Dobatse was buying and selling stocks on Robinhood. He funded his account with $15,000 in credit card advances - even took out two $30,000 home equity loans to trade the most speculative stocks and options, with hopes to pay off his debts. At one point earlier this year, his account had $1 million - now in freefall, the account is worth $6,956, reported The New York Times.

79561 Postings, 8918 Tage KickyS&P Forecasts $2.1 Trillion Losses in Bank Credit

"In a new note published by S&P Global Ratings, the agency correctly anticipates that the COVID-19 pandemic and responses to it will have huge and long-lasting effects on bank asset quality. In fact, across the 88 banking systems S&P Global Ratings covers, S&P forecasts their credit losses will be about $1.3 trillion in 2020--more than double their 2019 level of $0.6 trillion.
And while S&P is optimistic enough to project a strong recovery in 2021, it still expects losses in that year will be a staggering $0.8 trillion, more than one-third above the 2019 level: "Indeed, we expect that 2019 marked the end of a multiyear period of benign credit losses for banks globally", according to Sattar....
Of the $926 billion total increase in credit losses, the agency forecasts over this year and next (from the 2019 level), Asia-Pacific accounts for $518 billion, dominated by $398 billion of losses in China... North America's regions account for a further $240 billion of the increase, followed by $120 billion in Western Europe.."

Aedes Aegypti mosquitos ...With health-care techniques already below pressure as a result of coronavirus pandemic, nations like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand are additionally grappling with one other infectious illness outbreak: dengue fever....Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) mentioned final week that the island nation is ready to surpass its earlier annual file variety of 22,170 dengue fever instances in 2013. As of July 6, greater than 15,500 dengue instances have been reported in Singapore, based on the NEA.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/...t-ever-vacancies-hit-record-high
"It's nost just Manhattan’s housing market that is getting crushed in recent weeks: the city's rental market is also starting to show the damage from a pandemic-fueled exodus. According to Douglas Elliman Real Estate and appraiser Miller Samuel, the borough’s apartment-vacancy rate in June rose to the highest on record. Available listings surged 85% from a year earlier to 10,789,  an all-time high for a single month.

Predictably, all that excess inventory has put a dent in pricing with the median rent tumbling 6.6% to $3,242, the first decline in 18 months and the biggest in data going back to October 2011
“It does give context to the scale of the movement out of Manhattan during the crisis,” Miller said in an interview with Bloomberg, which notes that "many New Yorkers have lost their taste for dense city living while the coronavirus raged, shuttering office buildings and giving people few reasons to stick around."

Recently, gold bug and investor Doug Casey sat down with Kenneth Ameduri of Crush the Street.
"Casey says Western civilization peaked around World War 1, just after the Federal Reserve took over the monetary supply. Yet at the same time, technology improved. So in some ways, things have gotten better, but in the ways that matter, things have gotten worse. Now, people are easily programmed to believe what the TV tells them to, thanks to technological advancement. Yet, both global warming and COVID are “phony” as far as Casey is concerned.
“Look, hysteria is the problem; not the flu itself.”
He adds, “this is hysteria comparable to the witch trials of the late 17th century.”

79561 Postings, 8918 Tage KickyCarson Chef economist at Bernstein: verrückte FED

"Since the pandemic tanked the economy in March the Federal Reserve has expanded its balance sheet by nearly $3 trillion to support the financial markets and asset prices.....
Congress will soon be debating whether to extend “conditional” unemployment compensation to millions of displaced workers.  Opposition to the extension centers on creating disincentives to work while some also worry about adding to the record budget deficit.

Critics are right to point out that workplace distortions can be caused by paying people more to not work that what they could earn working. But monetary policies that offer protection and incentives to investors can easily cause distortions in finance as they do in the workplace.
Proponents and beneficiaries of the current system have too much to lose to change. So my bet is that change will only come if voters decide to elect a new Administration and Congress.
Before the pandemic, 70% of Americans thought the system favored the wealthy and the special interest groups. No doubt that percentage is as high or higher given the unevenness in policies and outcomes since the crisis started.
