Our revolutionary Consumer Tag, that can be self-installed by private motorists and which incorporates a unique self-destruct feature, is now fully in production.
As anticipated, this new product has captured the imagination of issuers who wish to differentiate by enabling a frictionless refueling experience for their customers.
We have a project underway in India and are working on a major initiative in South Africa and further afield in the rest of Africa and the Middle East in conjunction with Visa and their selected strategic partners.
With the advent of contactless payments, there is a significant opportunity to issue a passive tag to private motorists as a companion device to their current bank issued method of payment • The issuing bank will generate a unique tag number or token, linked to the primary account number, which will be encoded on the passive tag • The passive tag will serve to expedite the refuelling process, whilst facilitating pre-authorization and various other checks such as fuel grade, tank capacity and velocity checks prior to refuelling • The bank would be the issuer of the passive tag, which could be “self-installed” by the private motorist
This “B2C” approach brings many benefits to the consumer: • Completely automated payment at the point of refuelling: quick, secure, and convenient • Allows automatic participation in loyalty schemes and promotions • Secure payment device, consumer control throughout the transaction • Allows consumers to easily track spending • Prevents misfuelling (filling with wrong type of fuel) |
