Mr. Francois Viens of Maximus Ventures reports
NEW MINERALIZED ZONE CONFIRMED & EXTENDED AT LARDER LAKE
Maximus Ventures Ltd. and NFX Gold Inc. are releasing assay results from four additional diamond drill holes at the Larder Lake gold project located in Ontario, Canada. The Larder Lake project comprises the Cheminis, Bear Lake and Fernland properties (all 100 per cent NFX Gold owned), and the Barber Larder property (75 per cent NFX Gold owned). Under the option and joint-venture agreement between Maximus Ventures and NFX Gold signed March 3, 2006, Maximus Ventures has the right to earn a 60-per-cent interest in NFX Gold's interest at Larder Lake by expending $6-million on exploration by Dec. 31, 2008.
Holes NFX07-05 to -08 were all drilled in the Bear Lake area, located five kilometres west of the Kerr-Addison mine, to test strongly altered iron-rich basalt and ultramafic rock units adjacent to the Bear Lake fault. These types of rocks are the host to significant gold deposits at the nearby Kerr-Addison mine and other historic and current gold producers in the region. |
