Robinhood (RBNHD) is locking out traders from GameStop (NYSE:GME), AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC), Nokia (NYSE:NOK) and Naked Brands, according to multiple tweets. GameStop is paring some gains now, up 29%. AMC down 16%. @stoolpresidente weighs in: "I will burn @RobinhoodApp to the ground if they shut down free market trading."
Separately, Interactive Broker (NASDAQ:IBKR) announced it has put AMC, Blackberry (NYSE:BB), Express Inc. (NYSE:EXPR),and Koss Corp. (NASDAQ:KOSS) options trading "into liquidation only due to extraordinary volatility in the markets." "In addition, long stock positions will require 100% margin and short stock positions will require 300% margin until further notice. We do not believe this situation will subside until the exchanges and regulators halt or put certain symbols into liquidation only," Interactive Brokers said in the statement. |
