Job Description • Develop the social media strategy for the Local.com Owned & Operated websites • Build a business plan identifying revenue opportunities as well as strategies to achieve them; with a focus on ROI and significant Audience growth (several million monthly unique visitors) • Understand key metrics and player in the Social Media communities - Launch and manage the day-to-day aspects of Local.com’s Social Media sites and applications (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). • Establish and coordinate social media response with the different support organizations (Customer Service, PR, etc.) • Act as a resource and a liaison to all employees for relaying, monitoring and enforcing the Local.com’s Social Media plans and policies as well as to leverage Local.com employees to help grow the social media communities. • Generate media buzz as a result of successful social media events and promos • Determine target audience’s affinities – What are they into? Music groups, sports, movies, books, TV, brands, business verticals, etc. This will result in successfully engaging and growing each community. • Develop socially engaging experiences to create stickiness and loyalty. • Identify brand evangelists and celebrity bloggers to virally spread Local.com’s value through relevant online communities • Viral seeding: incentivize Influencers to expose Local.com brand to their fan bases • Use Smart Monitoring Tools for action-oriented insights from all social media outlets: pages, sites, blogs, etc. • Use Smart Management Tools (TweetDeck, etc.) to manage the communities effectively.
Required Skills Desired Skills & Experience • Must have 5 to 8 years experience in Online Marketing • A subject matter expert on online social media tools — knows them, has used them all, understands differences, benefits, etc. • Someone with a major passion for this as a day-to-day job and will think creatively about how to use these tools to our benefit, will proactively seek out new tools • Highly analytical with strong project management skills; excellent communication skills; ability to work with multiple contributors at various levels. • Public relations experience, a plus.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus |
