Erwerb der Subitec GmbH - Personeller Ausbau im Bereich HealthCare -

Grevenmacher / Luxemburg, den 27. Juli 2000. Die Thiel Logistik AG, Anbieter von
IT-gesteuerten Logistikdienstleistungen, führt mit der 100 prozentigen Übernahme
der Subitec medizintechnische Beratungsgesellschaft GmbH, Sulzbach, ihren
personellen und technischen Ausbau im Segment HealthCare-Logistics fort. Zudem
wird die internationale Expansion des Geschäftsbereichs durch die Akquisition
weiter vorangetrieben.
Die Subitec GmbH bringt über 40 hochqualifizierte Mitarbeiter für die Gebiete
Consulting, Medizintechnik, Facility Management sowie Informationstechnologie
für Einrichtungen des Gesundheitswesens in die Thiel-Gruppe ein. Damit erhält
die Personalbasis des Geschäftsbereichs HealthCare-Logistics eine wichtige
Ergänzung, um Projekte auf dem internationalen Markt zu erschließen und
abzuwickeln.
Die Neuerwerbung erweitert zusammen mit den jüngsten Akquisitionen wie der HC
Facsys und der HC Logsys im Segment HealthCare-Logistics die Service-Palette der
Thiel Logistik auf ideale Weise.
Mit über 80 bereits bestehenden Kundenbeziehungen zu Krankenhäusern sowie
zahlreichen weiteren Gesundheitseinrichtungen in Deutschland, England und
Frankreich verfügt die Subitec GmbH über eine ausgezeichnete Basis, zusätzliche
Projekte für den Geschäftsbereich HealthCare-Logistics der Thiel-Gruppe zu
erschließen. Die Umsätze, die für das Jahr 2000 prognostiziert werden, sind im
Verhältnis zum Konzernumsatz noch gering, werden aber durch die erwarteten
Synergieeffekte aus dem Anschluß an die Thiel-Gruppe in den kommenden Jahren
überproportional ansteigen.

Acquisition of Subitec GmbH - Increase of staff numbers in the Health-Care
division - Expansion of international client base
Grevenmacher / Luxemburg, 27th July 2000. Thiel Logistik AG, supplier of IT
controlled logistic services, is continuing its expansion in terms of staff and
technology in the HealthCare logistics sector by taking over 100% of Subitec
medizintechnische Beratungsgesellschaft GmbH, based in Sulzbach. As a result of
this acquisition, the company is also forging ahead with its international
expansion in this business division.
Subitec GmbH is bringing in to the Thiel group more than 40 highly qualified
staff in the following divisions: consultancy, medical technology, facility
management and information technology for institutions in the HealthCare sector.
This represents a significant addition to the staff in the HealthCare logistics
division, significant in that it will be of great assistance in opening up and
dealing with the international markets.
Together with recent acquisitions in this business division such as HC Facsys
and HC Logsys, the new company will be an ideal addition to the range of
services offered by Thiel Logistik.
With more than 80 hospitals as already existing customers, plus numerous other
HealthCare establishments in Germany, England and France, Subitec GmbH
represents an excellent springboard from which the Thiel group can carry out
additional projects in the HealthCare logistics division. The turnover from
Subitec GmbH forecast for the year 2000 is as yet low in proportion to group
turnover, but will increase on an over-proportional basis in the years to come
as a result of the synergetic effects expected from the integration into the
Thiel group.
