Kunde ist dabei erneut die Gesellschaft SK D&D Co., Ltd., ein koreanischer Entwickler von Bau- und Erneuerbaren Energie-Projekten. Der Vertrag umfasst Lieferung und technische Unterstützung bei der Installation von 16 Anlagen des neuen Typs SWT-3.6-130 auf unterschiedlichen Türmen mit Nabenhöhe zwischen 85 und 115 Metern und einer SWT-3.0-108 auf einem 71-Meter-Turm. Gamesa has secured orders from Iberdrola to supply 325MW of wind turbines in Mexico.
The manufacturer will install 84 of its G114-2.625MW turbines for the Pier 4 wind farm in the state of Puebla and 50 G114-2.1MW machines for the Santiago Eolico project in Guanajato state.
The turbines for the Pier 4 facility are scheduled to be delivered early next year and the project will start operating in March 2019, Gamesa said.Turbines for the Santiago Eolioco wind farm, which will be commissioned in April 2019, will be installed during the second half of 2018.
Gamesa has installed almost 1.9GW of wind turbines in Mexico since 1999, including 360MW for Iberdrola.

Spanish wind turbine-maker Gamesa will soon inaugurate its new integrated facility in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore, said a top official of the company's Indian subsidiary.
"The Nellore plant will be inaugurated soon. It is an integrated plant. Till now a total of Rs 350 crore has gone into that plant. The plant will make blades first and then inverters and generators," Ramesh Kymal, Chairman and Managing Director of Gamesa Renewable Private Ltd told IANS on Thursday. He said the investment is part of the group's Rs 1,000 crore investment plan in India.
According to Kymal the plant is near Krishnapatnam Port, which is convenient to export the products. Kymal said the merger process of Siemens wind power business with Gamesa is progressing smoothly.

Bei drei der Aufträge handelt es sich um EPC(Engineering, Procurement, Construction)-Aufträge, Gamesa wird daher auch die Projektabwicklung übernehmen. Insgesamt werden die Spanier 99 Anlagen des Typs G114-2.0 mit einer Gesamtleistung von 198 MW sowie 40 Anlagen vom Typ G97-2.0 mit einer Gesamtleistung von 80 MW liefern. Die Inbetriebnahme soll zwischen März und Oktober 2017 erfolgen.
Das Unternehmen hat erst vor kurzen im der indischen Region Nellore im Bundesstaat Andhra Pradesh eine neue Produktionsstätte für Windkraftanlagen eingeweiht. Der Nettogewinn sei 2016 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 77 Prozent auf 301 Millionen Euro gestiegen, teilte Gamesa am Donnerstag in Zamudio mit. Der Gewinn vor Steuern (EBIT) legte um 47,9 Prozent auf 477 Millionen Euro zu. Der Umsatz stieg um 31,6 Prozent auf 4,612 Milliarden Euro zu. Dies ist ein Rekordwert. Auch der Auftragsbestand erreichte einen Höchststand.

Dank einer starken Nachfrage nach Turbinen verzeichnete der Siemens-Partner auch einen Rekordauftragseingang. Für 2017 stellt das Unternehmen weiteres Wachstum in Aussicht.

Der Umsatz wuchs vergangenes Jahr um knapp 32 Prozent auf 4,61 Milliarden Euro. Der Absatz von Windturbinen stieg überproportional um gut 36 Prozent auf 4.332 Megawatt. Das operative Ergebnis EBIT legte um knapp die Hälfte auf 477 Millionen Euro zu. Die EBIT-Marge verbesserte sich um 1,1 Prozentpunkte auf 10,4 Prozent. Der Nettogewinn stieg sogar um 77 Prozent auf 301 Millionen Euro.
Gamesa hatte zuletzt im November den Ausblick angehoben und für 2016 beim Absatz mindestens 4.300 Megawatt in Aussicht gestellt. Das EBIT sollte 450 bis 470 Millionen Euro erreichen und die Marge bei etwa 10 Prozent liegen.
Für das kommende Jahr rechnen die Spanier mit einem EBIT von 550 Millionen und einer operativen Marge von 10 bis 11 Prozent.
