Subject: Demonstration in Stuttgart, 30 SEP 2010, from 10:00 AM (1000) to 2:00 PM (1400)
On Thursday, 30 September 2010, from 10:00 AM (1000 hrs) until 2:00 PM (1400 hrs), a Stuttgart student group will conduct a "student strike" in the form of multiple demonstration marches. The students will converge on the Schlossgarten in downtown Stuttgart after starting at Lautenschlagerstrasse, Rotebuehlplatz, Marktplatz, Planie, Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse, and Schillerstrasse. The theme of the demonstration is "Jugendoffensive gegen Stuttgart 21" (Youth Offensive against Stuttgart 21) and the purpose is to protest the construction of a new Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Approximately 1,000 people are expected to participate.
This demonstration has been properly registered with German authorities and is expected to be peaceful. |
