Postcard from Eritrea Following a recent visit to the Colluli site, Baillieu Holst has written a follow up research note with regard to the Colluli potash project located in Eritrea, East Africa. The report highlights the positive and friendly culture within the country, the growing Eritrean mining industry, the significant positive progress that Eritrea has made in achieving the United Nations Millennium goals, and the misalignment between perceptions and reality of the jurisdiction. The report follows an initiation note issued by Baillieu on the 8th of June, which demonstrates the operating and capital cost advantage of the world class Colluli potash project, which is underpinned by a massive 1.1 billion tonne ore reserve and has an indicative minelife of over 200 years.
The deposit is globally unique and demonstrates industry leading capital intensity for the production of the premium potash type, sulphate of potash (SOP), and has the ability to produce a broad range of premium potash products.
