Agnes Obel was born in Gentofte, Copenhagen. She and her younger brother, Holger, grew up in an unconventional environment, with a father who had three children from another marriage. He loved to collect strange objects and instruments. Her mother, Katja Obel, was a jurist and musician and she used to play Bartók and Chopin on the piano at home.[5] Agnes learned to play the piano at a very young age. About her learning, she says: "I had a classical piano teacher who told me that I shouldn't play what I didn't like. So I just played what I liked. I was never forced to play anything else."[6]...She attended high school at Det frie Gymnasium, a free school where she was able to play a good deal of music. However, she quickly dropped out of school.[10] "At seventeen,(...) I met a man who was running a studio. I gave up quickly my musical studies to learn sound techniques."

Of all an owl's features, perhaps the most striking is its eyes. Large and forward facing, they may account for one to five percent of the owl's body weight, depending on species. The forward facing aspect of the eyes that give an owl its "wise" appearance, also give it a wide range of "binocular" vision (seeing an object with both eyes at the same time). This means the owl can see objects in 3 dimensions (height, width, and depth), and can judge distances in a similar way to humans. The field of view for an owl is about 110 degrees, with about 70 degrees being binocular vision.

Meine Güte. Die erkennbare Armverletzung hängt vermutlich damit zusammen oder rührt davon her, dass der  Dichter eine ungutes Verhältnis zu Hunden in der Nachbarschaft hat. Er wohnt in der Nähe von Paris.
Einmal hat er sich über das laute Gebell eines Schäferhunds vom Nachbarn aufgeregt und mit einem dicken Goethe-Buch nach dem Vieh geschlagen. Interessant übrigens, dass auch französische Hausbesitzer Schäferhunde halten.
