https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2021-04-08/...-trillion-last-12-months
If the Biden Administration’s Infrastructure Program is signed into law, the U.S. will have spent nearly $10 TRILLION in a single year.

Yes, Trillion with a “T”

This is:
1)    Equal to the GDPs of Japan, Germany and the U.K. combined.
2)    More than the U.S. has spent during the last FIVE recessions combined.
3)    More than the combined annual wages of all Americans.

That last one really gets me. If you add up all the money earned via wages by Americans in the 12 months, the U.S. Government has spent more money than that!
And finally, the ultimate jaw dropper…
The U.S. government will have spent an amount roughly equal to 50% of its GDP… in a single year.
And it’s going to unleash an inflationary storm.

Gold figured this out first, roaring to new all-time highs. Then copper broke out.
And now it’s oil’s turn.
Indeed, the entire commodity complex has just ended a 15 years bear market..
Big Inflation is coming. And the Fed is not going to do anything to stop it."

79561 Postings, 8918 Tage Kicky$1 Display Chip Shortage verursacht Chaos

the shortage is not with the most expensive chips. According to Bloomberg, the shortage is among inexpensive display driver chips that cost $1.
A display driver chip is an inexpensive chip whose sole purpose is to communicate basic instructions for illuminating computer monitors, TVs, smartphones, smart home devices, among other things. The shortage of driver chips has made it remarkably painful for supply chains of auto and tech industries who have scaled back or suspended production of certain products in recent months due to their inability to source the $1 chips.

"Local news outlets have reported further deliveries. On April 2, a U.S. Air Force C-17A Globemaster III military transport aircraft flew to Kyiv from the U.S. base in Ramstein, Germany, according to the Odessa newspaper Dumskaya. Two days later, another C-17A Globemaster III, which can carry 102 troops and 77 tons of cargo, landed in the western city of Lviv, the newspaper reported.
At the beginning of March, the Department of Defense announced that the U.S. would give $125 million of military aid to Kyiv in the 2021 fiscal year to help preserve its territorial integrity, work better with NATO and "more effectively defend itself against Russian aggression."A further $150 million will be provided this fiscal year depending on the effectiveness of Ukraine's defense reforms, which are required by the National Defense Authorization Act.

The funding comes as Ukraine's armed forces announced that they would undertake military drills with at least five NATO countries this year in an operation called Cossack Mace. Other drills involving the U.S., called Rapid Trident and Sea Breeze, are planned, Unian reported.

The Atlantic Council think tank added that a military campaign could boost support for President Vladimir Putin, whose popularity has slumped ahead of Russian parliamentary elections in September. The think tank also pointed to a stepping-up of propaganda attacks on Kyiv by Kremlin-controlled media, in which they accuse the Ukrainian government of planning its own offensive.
"It is now time for Washington to provide additional leadership by announcing conditional sanctions that would be levied on Russia if it escalates in Ukraine," said John Herbst, director of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center.

The news of the military deliveries come as tensions in the region are skyrocketing. Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky is calling for Ukraine to become a full-fledged member of NATO and is traveling to the conflict zone in Donbas on Thursday.

And companies have been reporting that they’re able to pass on those surging costs. So here we go with inflation.https://wolfstreet.com/2021/04/09/producer-prices-blow-out/
The surging input costs and the ability to pass on those higher input costs that have been reported by company executives as part of the services PMIs and manufacturing PMIs, and that owners of small businesses have told me about for months, have now solidly fired up the Producer Price Index for final demand, which in March jumped by 1.0% from February – double the rate that economists polled by Reuters had forecast – after having jumped 0.5% in February, and 1.3% in January. The PPI has now taken off, after hovering in fairly benign territory last year.

Compared to March last year, the PPI jumped by 4.2%, the sharpest year-over-year increase since 2011, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics today...

May and go away spekulieren....

https://www.heise.de/tp/features/...vom-Ende-der-Ukraine-6009538.html

"Don't fight the Fed" gilt auch heute.

Root (NASDAQ:ROOT) is attempting to disrupt the auto insurance industry with a novel approach based on real-time driver data. So far, Wall Street isn't impressed. The stock is down 56% since its initial public offering in October, and it's one of the most heavily shorted stocks on the market.

This has created an interesting situation. Certain insiders can't sell shares until April 26, and based on the heavy short interest, Wall Street is expecting a lot of selling. But if that never materializes, this situation could spark a short squeeze -- a market dynamic where a rising stock price forces short-sellers to close their positions by buying shares, sending the price up even more.

"...As Bloomberg reports, growing panic over the financial health of one of China’s largest bad-debt managers spilled into the broader market, as traders circulated a Caixin report that openly considered the worst-case scenario for the company. Specifically, in a commentary dated Monday, Ling Huawei, managing editor of Caixin Media and Caixin Weekly, discussed the possibility of a China Huarong bankruptcy. Not helping was the latest pileup by rating agencies, with both Moody’s and Fitch saying Tuesday they will review their ratings of Huarong - an investment grade credit for now - for a potential downgrade, following a similar announcement from rival S&P Global Ratings last week.
"Huarong is a $22 billion curve and as a distressed situation it dwarfs anything that we have seen in the Asia credit market before," said Owen Gallimore, head of trading strategy at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group. “This is a fatal event for a few trading desks and small funds."
Some of the drop was reversed later, and Huarong bonds edged up from session lows after Bloomberg reported China’s finance ministry is mulling transferring its stake in China Huarong to a unit of the nation’s sovereign wealth fund that invests in financial companies, but the negative sentiment prevailed.
the Huargon selloff spread to other high-yield Chinese dollar notes on Tuesday, with some property bonds falling by a record..."

-----------------------------------------

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/...icrosoft-ahead-big-govt-contract

Nancy Pelosi's Husband Uses Call Options To Buy Microsoft Ahead Of Big Govt Contract

- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband purchased millions of dollars worth of Microsoft (MSFT) and Roblox (RBLX) shares last month, new financial disclosures form reveal.

- Paul Pelosi exercised call options and paid $1.95 million to buy 15,000 shares of Microsoft at a strike price of $130 on March 19, according to an April 9th filing with the House clerk. That same day, Pelosi, who owns and operates a California venture capital investment and consulting firm, paid $1.4 million for 10,000 shares valued at $140 apiece.

- Since Pelosi made the purchase, Microsoft share prices have climbed from about $230 to roughly $255 – an increase of close to 11% – after the company secured a lucrative government contract worth nearly $22 billion to supply U.S. Army combat troops with augmented reality headsets.. The deal was announced on March 31.

Comments by Krystal and Saagar

This is an extremely bad look at the very least. And at worst, it's outright corrupt.

It has the appearance of using insider knowledge of where the US government is headed.

-  Access to that knowledge if you are Speaker of the House you may have special insights in order to profit massively off of your stock trades.

- Nancy Pelosi is already a very wealthy woman.

- Why are members of Congress allowed to trade stock while they are holding public office?

-----------------
