Bei der deutschen Occupy-Bewegung gibt es offenbar Meinungsverschiedenheiten unter den Aktivisten. Vor kurzem tauchte eine Stellungnahme der "AnonMedics", einer sich dem Online-Kollektiv Anonymous zugehörigen Gruppe von Sanitätern, auf, in der deutliche Kritik an einigen Camps geübt wird. Dort würde Chaos herrschen, es würden Drogen genommen und zuviel getrunken, so die Vorwürfe.
On December 17th, we invite every Occupy protester, Anon, and Citizen to march in a day of solidarity and remembrance.
December 17 will mark the anniversary of many historic events: three months since the beginning of the Occupy movement; the one-year anniversary of the death of Mohamed Bouazizi, the Tunisian man whose self-immolation initiated the first of protests which became the Tunisian Revolution, and eventually cascaded into the Arab Spring; and 24 years since the birth of Bradley Manning, the army private accused of leaking classified information to Wikileaks. Manning's first hearing is scheduled for Dec 16, 586 days after his arrest, where he will face a military panel who will decide if he will go to trial.
Bradley Manning's alleged transfer of sensitive information to Wikileaks allowed the organization to release diplomatic cables confirming suspected corruption at high levels of the Tunisian government. The outrage over the circumstances surrounding Mohamed Bouazizi's death was intensified after these revelations, and small protests quickly turned into an uprising which toppled a long-standing regime. Tunisia is now recognized as the inspiration for the Arab Spring; uprisings such as those which shook Egypt's Mubarak from power, and ended both Gaddafi's regime and life.
The passion expressed by those in the Arab world inspired many activists in the west to stand together. The American Autumn began on September 17 with Occupy Wall Street, and similar protests soon erupted across the United States, as well as internationally. Occupy protesters peacefully marched, sang, danced, and drummed their way into the soul of their respective cities, but have often been met with hostility and aggression from law enforcement. In response, Occupiers have remained peaceful and continued protesting.
Operation Horizon will remind the world that we are united and that together, we will not fail.

: Occupy London als Terrorgruppe eingestuft
Die Aktivisten von "Occupy London" sind erbost: von der Polizei der englischen Haupstadt wurden sie als Terroristen eingestuft. Das zumindest legt ein im Internet aufgetauchtes Dokument nahe, in dem die Besetzer - neben beispielsweise der Farc und al-Qaida - als Terrorgruppe gelistet werden.
Bekannte Musiker der Gruppen Radiohead, Massive Attack und UNKLE - sowie andere Künstler - gaben gestern in London ein Konzert zur Unterstützung der Occupy-Bewegung. Im Keller eines besetzten Bankgebäudes gaben sie ein Konzert für die Aktivisten. Die Aufnahme der Veranstaltung soll verkauft werden und der Erlös der Occupy-Bewegung zugute kommen.
Das "Occupy Washington"- beziehungsweise "Occupy DC"-Protestcamp in der Nähe des Weißen Hauses wurde bislang von der Polizei toleriert. Am gestrigen Sonntag eskalierte die Situation dort jedoch. Die Polizei riss eine von den Aktivisten errichtete Schutzhütte ab. Zur Begründung hieß es, es habe keine Baugenehmigung gegeben. Im Umfeld dieser Polizeiaktion wurden 31 Demonstranten festgenommen.

Der Shop "Occupy Supply", der sich der Ausrüstung von Occupy-Aktivisten mit Winterkleidung widmet, startet passend zur Vorweihnachtszeit eine neue Aktion. Für jedes im Shop gekaufte Kleidungsstück wird ein identisches Kleidungsstück an einen bedürftigen Demonstranten gespendet. Bislang hatte Occupy Supply bereits große Erfolge zu verbuchen, wie die Gründerin Jane Hamsher berichtet.

: Occupy San Francisco: Protestcamp geräumt
Nach mehreren anderen Räumungen von Standorten der Occupy-Bewegung wurde nun auch das Occupy-Protestcamp in San Francisco von der Polizei geräumt. In den frühen Morgenstunden des gestrigen Mittwoch (Ortszeit) wurde das Camp geräumt. Rund 70 Aktivisten wurden festgenommen. Die Besetzer geben sich jedoch kämpferisch - sie wollen wiederkommen.

This bill, passed late last night in a 93-7 vote, declares the entire USA to be a "battleground" upon which U.S. military forces can operate with impunity, overriding Posse Comitatus and granting the military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate and even assassinate U.S. citizens with impunity.
Even WIRED magazine was outraged at this bill, reporting:
Senate Wants the Military to Lock You Up Without Trial
...the detention mandate to use indefinite military detention in terrorism cases isn't limited to foreigners. It's confusing, because two different sections of the bill seem to contradict each other, but in the judgment of the University of Texas' Robert Chesney — a nonpartisan authority on military detention — "U.S. citizens are included in the grant of detention authority."
The passage of this law is nothing less than an outright declaration of WAR against the American People by the military-connected power elite. If this is signed into law, it will shred the remaining tenants of the Bill of Rights and unleash upon America a total military dictatorship, complete with secret arrests, secret prisons, unlawful interrogations, indefinite detainment without ever being charged with a crime, the torture of Americans and even the "legitimate assassination" of U.S. citizens right here on American soil!

Im Rahmen der "Operation Assange" setzen sich die Hacktivisten gegen eine Auslieferung des Australiers an Schweden ein. Sie wenden sich in einer Video-Botschaft sowohl an die Öffentlichkeit als auch an die zuständigen Richter.
Das polizeiliche Vorgehen gegen die Occupy-Bewegung geht weiter: Am heutigen Samstag wurde auch das Protestcamp von "Occupy Boston" geräumt. Berichten zufolge kam es zu rund 40 Festnahmen, aber nicht zu Handgreiflichkeiten. Das Camp hatte zuvor rund 10 Wochen lang Bestand.

Aktivisten der Occupy-Bewegung wollen am heutigen Montag einige der wichtigsten Häfen entlang der Westküste der USA blockieren. Sie hoffen, dass dies die Profite großer Unternehmen schmälert. Die Häfen seien zu "Wirtschafts-Motoren für die Elite" geworden, so die Besetzer.
