gemäss Mark Morabito, CEO von Alderon, wollen sie vorläufig eigenständig bleiben und beweisen, dass sie die Produktion selbständig auf die Beine kriegen:

"You have to run your company like you’re going to take it to production or you’ll never get full value [for it],” said the president and CEO of Alderon Resource Corp. (TSX-V:ADV). “Running your company as though you’re going to get taken out is a mug’s game and it’s a recipe for failure.”

His comments came during an interview at his office in Vancouver about his latest venture.

Alderon is focused on its Kami iron ore project in Labrador, Canada’s premier iron district and home to players such as the Iron Ore Co. of Canada and Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE:CLF)."

Alderon Announces Further Resource Upside and Comments on Rail Capacity

Alderon Resource Corp. (TSX.V:ADV) (OTCQX: ALDFF) ("Alderon") is pleased to announce plans for a winter drill program on the Kamistiatusset ("Kami") Iron Ore Project in western Labrador that is aimed at further increasing the potential size of its iron ore resource. The program will consist of 5,000 meters (m) of drilling in North Rose and is designed to expand on the current 25,000m program expected to be completed by the end of November 2010. The 2010 and winter 2011 programs are planned with the goal of delineating 600 to 800 million tonnes at a grade between 28-32% iron ore. The potential tonnage and grade are conceptual in nature and it is uncertain if further exploration will delineate a mineral resource.

"We are having great success with the 2010 program and have found the area north of Rose Lake to have great iron thicknesses and grade," says Matt Simpson, Chief Operating Officer of Alderon. "We want to make sure to include this new area to our current work heavily focused on proving up Rose Central and Mills as it should add significantly to the resource."

A total of 21,907m has been drilled on the property to date and the 2010 drill program is on track to be completed by the end of November 2010 with 25,000m drilled. The 2010 program will be followed by an initial National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101") resource estimate in the first quarter of 2011. Watts, Griffis and McOuat Limited ("WGM") has been commissioned to provide this resource estimate and has already completed the required site visits and sampling program.

The 2011 winter program is expected to commence during the last week of January and take approximately seven weeks to complete. The program is anticipated to cost approximately $2.5 million and will also be followed with an updated NI 43-101 resource estimate late in the second quarter of 2011. The winter program will focus on adding the northern portion of the Rose Lake Zone to the resource.
Rail Capacity

BMO Research attended a site visit of the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOCC) operations in October 2010. In the BMO Capital Markets write up on Labrador Iron Ore Royalty dated October 21, 2010, BMO states, based on commentary from senior IOCC management, that "...Rio Tinto's QNS&L [Quebec North Shore & Labrador] rail line, which runs essentially from Schefferville to Sept-Iles, could be expanded with minimal capex [capital expenditure] to 75 - 80Mtpa [million tonnes per annum] of hauling capacity." This capacity is in line with an earlier analysis conducted for Alderon by industry experts.
"There is currently only approximately 30Mtpa being shipped along this rail line," says Mr. Simpson. "Even if every existing mine expands to their full currently stated production target and each known new company (including Alderon) commences production, there is still only just over 60MTpa being produced, so rail capacity shouldn't be an issue."

Solving the Global Iron Ore Shortage

If there is one thing UBS Securities' Dieter Hoeppli knows it's steel. As global head of steel, as well as metals and mining in the Americas for UBS, he's spent the last 20 years analyzing the steel business and acting as an advisor on countless mergers and takeover deals. He regularly travels the world and crunches numbers to determine what's going to grow and what's not. In this Gold Report exclusive, we take you inside the recent Forbes & Manhattan summit for some of Dieter's candid thoughts on the shortage of iron ore global steel manufacturers are now facing.
....

"I think there is going to be a renewed focus on attractive companies with great ore bodies, Dieter said, "which I think Alderon Resource has in areas with logistics already in place, where you can actually bring the product to the market in a reasonable period of time."

"Clearly, raw material is an absolutely critical factor in steel manufacturing and I'm sure Alderon is going to play a major role in that," Dieter said.

  Haywood Securities Inc.

Kami: A Growing Fe Ore Property
Nestled Between Four Mines
Geordie Mark and Colin Healey
We are initiating formal coverage of Alderon Resource corp. (ADV-TSX-V) with a 12-month target price of C$3.40 per share. The 62% projected return justifies a SECTOR OUTPERFORM rating. Alderon has a SPECULATIVE risk rating due to the early exploration stage of the Company's Kamistiatusset (Kami) iron ore property, which is on the door step of four operating iron ore mines in the Fermont district, Labrador Trough, Canada. Company highlights include:

•§Kami is ideally positioned to make use of the existing infrastructure established for the neighboring Labrador City, Fermont and Wabush townships that service several iron ore mines within 10-20 kilometres from Alderon's property.

•§A maiden resource estimate on Kami is due in Q1'11, and is based primarily on 25,000 m drilling to be completed in 2010. An additional 5,000m drilling will be undertaken on Rose Lake North staring late January 2011, and will be incorporated into a revised resource update in Q2"11 where Alderon has a target resource estimate of 600-800 Mt at 28 to 32% Fe. Our estimates are for an exploitable resource of 300 Mt @ 30% Fe, which is expected to be primarily derived from the Rose Lake Central and Mills Lake areas. These resources are expected to be magnetite dominant with lesser specular hematite, and are anticipated to contain low S, P and Mn. Additional resource potential is also expected from the Rose Lake North area of the property.

•§Our model scenario for Kami employs a conceptual production rate of 8 Mtpa of 65% Fe magnetite-rich concentrate, which is estimated to have an average production cost on the order of (~US$43/t). This model uses an exploitable resource estimate of 300 Mt @30% Fe, and by inputting our commodity price assumptions the operation could generate 1st and 2nd year cashflow of $164 and $288 respectively for a ~17 year Life-of-Mine.

•§Alderon has a clear strategy to advance Kami towards a production scenario, and host a strong board and management team that were in part responsible for progressing Bloom Lake through the development corridor and into production.
Valuation: Our DCF 12% analysis of the Kami Property produces an NPV of C$733 million, with adjustments for resource growth potential provides a total corporate NAV of C$749 million.
