AIXTRON: Starkes Umsatz- und Ergebniswachstum in Q.1-3 '99 Umsatz: 59,3 Mio. Euro (+36% gg. Vj.) Gewinn: 7,1 Mio. Euro (+45% gg. Vj.) Anhebung der Planzahlen für '99 aufgrund starken Dollars und Akquisitionen Umsatz: 79,2 Mio. Euro(+42% gg. Vj.) Gewinn: 9,4 Mio. Euro (+74% gg. Vj.)
Auch in Q.3 '99 kräftiges Wachstum bei AIXTRON, dem Technologie- und Weltmarktführer bei MOCVD- Anlagen zur Produktion von Verbindungs- Halbleitern: Umsatz 18,9 Mio. Euro, Jahresüberschuss 2,1 Mio. Euro. Damit ergibt sich für Q.1-3: Konzernumsatz 59,3 Mio. Euro (+36% gg. Vj.), davon 29% in USA, 41% in Asien und 30% in Europa. Jahresüberschuss 7,1 Mio. Euro (45% gg. Vj.), was einem Ergebnis je Aktie von 0,47 Euro entspricht. Netto-Umsatzrendite 12% (11,3% im Vj.). Aufgrund des über Plankurs liegenden Dollars für das Restjahr sowie der Konsolidierung der Thomas Swan Scientific Equipment Ltd. ab dem 15. September und der EPIGRESS AB ab dem 8. Oktober erhöht der Vorstand erneut die Prognosen für das Geschäftsjahr '99: Umsatz wird nun bei 79,2 Mio. Euro (+43% gg. Vj.) und der Jahresüberschuss bei 9,4 Mio. Euro (+74% gg. Vj.) erwartet. Goodwill- Abschreibung für Akquisitionen erfolgt über 5 Jahre. Dementsprechend Ergebnis je Aktie 0,63 Euro und Netto-Umsatzrendite 12%. Effekte der geplanten Kapitalerhöhung sind dabei nicht berücksichtigt. Aufwand für F&E in Q.1-3 von 4,2 Mio. Euro - eine Quote von 7% gemäß der Planungen. Die Kosten für Vertrieb und Verwaltung 9,9 Mio. Euro, 17% vom Umsatz. Weltweit weiterhin starke Nachfrage nach AIXTRON- Anlagen: Auftragseingang in Q.3 '99 von 21,3 Mio. Euro. Damit Auftragseingang in Q.1-3 '99 53,8 Mio. Euro, +31% gg. Vj. Der Auftragsbestand am Ende Q.3 betrug 45 Mio. Euro, +34% gg. Vj.

Q3 1999 once again saw strong growth for AIXTRON, the technology and global market leader for MOCVD equipment used in the manufacture of compound semiconductors. Revenues amounted to EUR 18.9 million and net income to EUR 2.1 million. In Q1-3, this resulted in group reveneus of EUR 59.3 million (+36% yoy), of which 29% were generated in the US, 41% in Asia and 30% in Europe. Net income of EUR 7.1 million (+45% yoy) corresponded to earnings per share of EUR 0.47. The net return on sales was 12% (11.3% in the previous year). Due to the dollar exceeding expected exchange rates for the remainder of the year as well as consolidation of Thomas Swan Scientific Equipment Ltd. with effect from September 15 and of EPIGRESS AB with effect from October 8, the Executive Board has once again increased its forecasts for fiscal year 1999. Projected revenues are now set at EUR 79.2 million (+43% yoy) and net income at EUR 9.4 million (+74% yoy). Goodwill resulting from acquisitions will be amortized over a period of 5 years. In line with this, earnings per share will amount to EUR 0.63 and the net return on sales to 12%. The effects of the planned capital increase are not included in these figures. R&D expenditure in Q1-3 amounted to EUR 4.2 million - in line with forecasts at 7%. Selling and administrative expenses totaled EUR 9.9 million, or 17% of revenues. Continued strong demand for AIXTRON equipment worldwide lead to orders received in Q3 1999 amounting to EUR 21.3 million, bringing the total orders received for Q1-3 1999 to EUR 53.8 million, up 31% yoy. Order backlog at the end of Q3 totaled EUR 45 million, up 34% on the previous year.
