NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 2000--

Radio City Entertainment, Nintendo of America and

4Kids Entertainment Capture the Magic With First-Ever Live

Musical Theatrical Production; Pokemon - Live!; See all your

favorite characters on stage for the very first time on a

30-city Pokemon journey!

4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:KIDE, news, msgs), Radio City Entertainment, and Nintendo of America announced the first-ever, national theatrical tour of Pokemon Live!, a 90-minute live musical, based on the #1 kids entertainment property in the world. The multi-media live action adventure premieres on the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall beginning September 20, 2000 and then travels to theaters and arenas across North America. (A complete tour schedule will be announced soon.)

Animation and special effects will be interwoven with a live cast of audience favorites, including the ever-popular Ash, Misty, Brock and Team Rocket. Pikachu and dozens of other Pokemon will appear on stage for the very first time, against a backdrop of captivating all-new musical numbers and beloved songs from the #1 TV series and movies. A brand-new storyline, featuring exciting twists and turns, makes this adventure a must-see event for all Pokemon fans. Will Ash and friends prevail in their greatest challenge ever? What shocking surprises will stun even the most die-hard Pokemon fans?
You've just gotta catch this show for all the excitement!

"Radio City Entertainment is committed to providing the highest quality family entertainment, especially to our younger fans," said Ed Micone, Executive Vice President, Radio City Entertainment. "Pokemon is a true phenomenon in the kids entertainment market and Radio City is thrilled to be working with 4Kids Entertainment creating an original and exciting show."

"This theatrical experience will thrill Pokemon fans with a story that will captivate an audience of all ages," stated Al Kahn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 4Kids Entertainment. "Nintendo's Pokemon franchise is all about quality entertainment. We have found a partner in Radio City Entertainment to fulfill our high standards of quality. We anticipate releasing the show internationally following a successful domestic tour together with a comprehensive merchandising program."

"It's a great testament to the depth of the Pokemon story that it makes such a fantastic stage show," said Gail Tilden, Nintendo of America's Vice President for Product Acquisition and Development. "It's really an extension of the adventure that started in the Pokemon Game Boy games, continued in the TV series and movies, and now comes alive on stage. While the show's roots are from other media, Pokemon seems like it was custom-made for a musical stage adventure. The creators of Pokemon are thrilled at the quality and entertainment value."

...

Macht's gut ...
