ATAC Resources Extends Strike Length of Gold Mineralization at Conrad Zone to 400 Metres and Intersects Multiple Zones of High-Grade Gold Mineralization

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 3, 2011) - ATAC Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:ATC) is pleased to provide the following drilling and exploration update for its 100% owned 1,600 sq/km Rackla Gold Project in central Yukon.

News release highlights:

   * Conrad Zone extended to 400 metre strike length and remains open in all directions;
   * Diamond drilling confirms gold mineralization at the Conrad and Eaton Zones coalesce into a larger Conrad Zone;
   * Total vertical extent of drilled gold mineralization between Conrad and Osiris is now in excess of 1 km;
   * Six diamond drills will continue exploring Osiris, Conrad, Isis and Isis East into mid-October;
   * Surface orpiment and realgar showings have been identified at Dale and Pyramid Zones located 12 km and 24 km west of the Osiris Zone, and the Ptah Zone located 1.25 km northwest of the Conrad Zone; and,
   * 15 of 19 released drill holes at Conrad have intersected significant widths of gold mineralization in excess of 3 g/t gold.

ATAC Drills 9.08 g/t Gold over 16.76 Metres at its Anubis Discovery Located 10 km West of Osiris
  
October 24, 2012 - ATAC Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:ATC) is pleased to announce the results from the remaining five 2012 diamond drill holes at the recently discovered Anubis Carlin-type gold discovery within the Nadaleen Trend on its 100% owned Rackla Gold Project, Yukon.

News release highlights:

• Hole AN-12-003 intersected 9.08 g/t gold over 16.76 m and bottomed in mineralization grading 4.54 g/t gold over 1.52 m. AN-12-003 is an undercut of Anubis discovery hole AN-12-001 (19.85 g/t gold over 8.51 m); and,
• Preliminary soil geochemical survey results indicate extensive regional pathfinder element and gold anomalies along a prominent recessive linear zone that extends 5 km to the west and 1.6 km to the east from Anubis..

Barrick Gold hat kein Interesse mehr an dem Rackla Gold Projekt

Auf den ersten Blick ist die Nachricht Barrick Gold als Partner zu verlieren negativ, allerdings muss man auch berücksichtigen, dass Barrick durch das Merger mit Randgold seinen Fokus wahrscheinlich mehr auf große Projekte in Afrika setzen wird. Insofern könnte ich mir schon vorstellen, dass ATAC einen neuen Partner finden könnte.
